this has really pissed me off
i can completely understand putting a london date on sale, seeing if it sells out and then adding a second. no problem. i bought some tickets for the original date and was planning on travelling all the way down from stoke and now they've decided to put it on in birmingham, less than an hour away AND its cheaper!!! thanks a lot ATP. thanks a lot.
PS i have 2 tickets for sale for OCT 31st date. £50. email me - corrupted9@hotmail.com
they should just give up
they were attrocious live on their last tour. how can you replace 3 guitarists with 1 and a looper? last album was poor as well. this is a new band really isnt it. he's just using the don caballero name for attention.
gutted
top lads, put them on and played with them a number of times. i am completely gutted.
^ this
and there's lots of rubbish in that list.
i still cant
get my head round the fact that polvo are playing. ive been staring at the lineup for about 3 hours now.
sonic youth
have ALWAYS 'rubbed their guitars against their amps.' whether they're playing an album in full or not. its what sonic youth do!
this band
are fucking brilliant.
amazing at pitchfork in chicago last week.
mine...
blonde redhead
battles
shellac
twilight sad
ginderman
ace!
nottingham for me!
anyone who doesnt like it
just doesnt get it.
in fact
they should get polaris to play. now that'd be mint!
gringo party
looks bloody mint!!! the unit ama!!!
i cant wait for this
best band in the country bar none. new stuff sounded stunning live. they'll blow codename off the stage.
how can they top
spiderland anyway?
they sound exactly like
supergrass. but with no songs.
cant decide
on whether it'd be brilliant or shit.
charlottefield
have a new album out this year. judging by their new stuff live, its gonna be a fuckin stunner!
projections?
have projections given up now steve's busy with this. anyone know?
i know what you mean
i was just being a sarcastic bastard. i voted for all bands that id not get a chance to see otherwise, save for charlottefield but just because i love them and they deserve to play something like atp. i dont think its going to end up as a load of bands you could see anywhere, the organisers wont let it happen. but, if they wanted people to vote for bands who've never played before they shouldnt have included that drop down box on the voting page, of the entire ATP archive! that'd have made people use their imagination.
yeah
cus steve albini is on the phone right now to mr branson booking shellac in the nme stage at next years V.
cool
at least someone did then! i couldnt go but i saw them in nottingham the other week and they were brilliant.
and
ive read page up on page of stuff about atp and not one single person has mentioned bardo pond. did ANYONE actually watch them??
this includes
an extended version of the diamond sea doesnt it? thats worth the price alone surely!
POLVO
to reform!
how long are you staying
i think charlottefield deserved a spot in there somewhere.
no no no no no no
this is fuckin shit. one the best bands ive ever had the fortune to see and also play a gig with. top guys too.
trying not to be pedantic...
... but its richard hell and the voidoids, not voivods.
oh yeah
definitely. i used to defend the mars volta on so-called 'punk' forums. its a far more 'punk' attitude to be doing what they're doing now i suppose. its just interesting how 27 minute songs has now become a more punk rock think to be doing.
atdi > tmv
i wrote this on another forum. some might say that punk derived from rebellion against the over blown prog rock dinosaurs. atdi were an amazing punk rock band, but you could say that omar and cedric have turned into what they were indirectly rebelling against.
they are still, however, genius's.
haha
anyone noticed that doesnt ACTUALLY say SINATRA on it? although id pay loads for frank sintra's driving licence.
i saw..
..these with charlottefield in leeds. they were dead good!
down hill
how the fuck did charlottefield not get into that. going downhill this fuckin site is.
yes
this is fuckin ace. fullstop.

these things
are usually a ONE OFF, are they not? so i buy tickets for london, brilliant. shellac never play ANYWHERE in the UK except for LONDON and minehead. so i now have a ticket to see shellac play in london with some other ace bands too. brilliant. it is then announced that they are actually now playing 40mins down the road. FUCKING BRILLIANT.
then to rub it in, i get told by some fucking little london scenester knob to get a grip. fucking brilliant.
i would have a nice little grip thanks, if these things were actually announced at THE SAME TIME allowing the paying customer to make an informed choice about where to attend.
