KLF
I don't mind dance anthems for a bit of nostalgia, especially seeing as he played the KLF the other night. But then I'm probably a generation or two older than you.
Then again, I can't stand the wey Lamacq constantly harks back to Britpop, I can't listen to his show because it's so stuck in a tediously smallminded idea of music.
I would be very sorry if the station disappeared but they really have to stop playing the same songs all day long.
Point = Missed
Might as well link to my review too seeing as everyone seems to be doing it..

Awesome. Love the tour diary!
Pure
gash
Hasn't
everyone?
Brilliant!
that has made my day
Me too..
Good work on the interview Billy
yes sorry
not ha ha at the people who lost their jobs.. just at idiotic corporate pigdogs.
£80mill - rudebaws
ha ha
The placing of tracks 2 and 3
is inexplicable. Both are fucking terrible. Much better to buy Bona Drag.
Muse want to copy radiohead
shocker!
Saw them
at the bongo club on Saturday playing with Broken Records. They were great.
You are th quarry
was a great and welcome comeback and he should have left it at that. The ringleaders album is really weak.
Love the
octopus one!
Why do a record
if you've got no inspiration? Go away and do something else.
Because
it's trying too hard and is skin-crawlingly embarrassing.
democracy
isn't always a good thing. I prefer to know that the main stories etc are put there by someone with a good editorial instinct.
Connect
is maybe more likely?
Anti-folk
I believe it was started by a guy called Lach who was at a folk night in New York which he found offensively pretentiousness and boring so he declared "if this is folk, then I'm anti-folk". It focuses on songs, humour, performance, honesty, rather than perfect musicianship and production and dull worthy topics. So I guess it is for traditional folk what punk was for rock.
Excellent interview
Looking forward to the Edinburgh show.
Lost Someone
Is quality.
What's with the cover tho?
he really
does need to get his arse in gear.
Congratulations to Q
Another year of their elaborate hoax taking the piss out of music awards. They are truly the Chris Morris of music magazines!
Following the trend for misleading album titles
maybe Courtney's next album will be called "Dignified Silence"
awful
AWFUL!
awful.
DiSappointed..
I thought this was about Leslie Grantham.
Unless they have access to sales records
which prove that those shops outsell the more obvious locations, the only explanation can be that they're buying them so as to stop any competitors getting them and thus taking away their profits.
Love Tricky's first album
but John "Legend" is anything but. And being intellectual and working class isn't mutually exclusive...
He's
spread himself far too thin recently and most of it has been below par for him. He needs to stop appearing in random videos and stick to producing. His "solo" album was dire.
Fopp iin Edinburgh
were kind enough to sell my band's homemade CD-Rs (way back before they expanded down south). Without them we'd never have experienced the thrill of being told we'd sold 20 CDs in one week, (mainly due to the CDs being played instore by the staff) or of later meeting a bloke who'd bought all of the EPs we'd sold there.
Bloody shame to see them go but at least we still have an Avalanche left in Edinburgh.
The whole internet
was set up by the US military as a way of keeping tabs on the world/spreading propoganda under the guise of user-generated chaos.
FAcebook is only suddenly popular with the "chattering classes" because Prince Willyham has joined it. Now Every posh man and his dog (and Jo Whiley) are signed up to it.
No, sorry,
I just meant anyone who willingly listens to these adverts are morons
Get your ear plugs in.
This is audio-pollution for morons. (those without wav editing)
can't
think of anything apart from obscene propositions
ha
hardy har har har. Sub-Libertines swines.
If he keeps it simple
like the early b-sides he sang it might be ok. He should have finished the band after the disaster of Be Here Now and done this then - but it's too late now.
well
said.
Vunderbar
Can't wait to hear this when I get home now!
Is this
another example of one of the band's mates writing the review?
He
Got to shag a pre-psychoskinhead Britney and pocket a cool million d's? Why is this guy a laughing stock?
He played
The Twang the other night on BBC6 Music.
there's no excuse for that.
Having said that
he's obviously never listened to the first album if he thinks they haven't written any tunes..
I think
he's got a good point here, even though as people have said, his song is nothing more than a clever novelty pop rip-off of LCD Soundsystem and Beck.
Bloc Party's first album was great, but this one is far too worthy, wordy, and London-centric from what I've heard (I had to turn it off cos the lyrics were so clunky)
THE NEW BLOC PARTY VIDEO
is embarrassing
Absolute
poppycock sir
I think
they've learned from Oasis' mistakes and they're purposely keeping a distance from the showbiz side of things which we all know has nothing to do with the music.
They're trying to give themselves a chance of being in it for the long-term, good luck to em.
How do you
know Madonna's dad?
Is this
a tribute to Michael Winner's TV adverts?
didn't
Jarvis appeared on Stars in their Eyes didn't he? I can't remember who he was though. Harry Hill also appeared on Stars in their eyes as Morrissey it was brilliant! (not that I watch the programme or anything)
