Hey DJAlbertFreeman
Have you ever heard of The Aphex Twin?
Excellently written.
What I've heard of the album, screams original psychedelia to me.
I'm buying it tomorrow, so hopefully the snippets that I've heard on myspace, will sound as good in full length.
Okay,
Any hints as to what the album is like?
Ha ha, I can't believe it. My friend and I have started a dance band
thing (although nothing has been done yet) called Hot Rats. I've got the myspace address for it.
What an amazing video.
To think that was all done in ink and in one take, with no (obvious) corrections. Amazing.
Nice pictures.
Shame there weren't any better pics of the sexy keyboard player.
Yeah, this is the same sort of thing. Handicapping the promo in some way.
Surely they are going to have to start doing this in order to miss out on the mass 'shock profit' made from the initial release of an album.
By the way, that was a comment for mystical_ninja
not the article.
Why?
It's the only obvious solution.
If you want a solution that is.
I don't understand how these sites continue to operate? I'm not going to promote the website, but one site that I have used a lot in the past, allows you to have pretty much anything you want. As soon as it's released, it's on there and in some cases 2 or 3 months before it's released. I remember having "The sound of Silver" about 2 months before it was released.
I've mentioned on here before, half the problem with albums being leaked - well, the only problem with albums being leaked - is with labels sending out promos of certain albums. Surely the obvious way to tackle this is to handicap the promo in some way or another? Are the mahazines / website reviewers that listen to the promos that much of a bunch of idiots that they will kick up a fuss if 1 bar of music is lopped off from the end of each track????
Tell me if this does not make sense. I'd be interested to know why.
If you like shrieking girly vocals over the top of
'been done a million times but better' off kilter post punk riffs, then this is the band for you!
Oh no!
James Murphy has decided to call it quits with himself. This is terrible news.
Mind you, I'm looking forward to his new band name.
Brilliant news!
Yours sincerely, one of the idiots that actually appreciates what a huge gash this band made in pop music since 1992.
Why don't they release an 'album'
as opposed to a 'mix album'?
I'm not a fan of drum and bass but it makes
a refreshing change to see something of this genre being reviewed.
Good work!
Awesome track.
The bass line rocks!
I suppose you could say that this is a bit of a "Rumble-low".........
tumbleweed etc etc......
I have just listened to the album.
This review - quite simply - is completely and utterly wrong.
"there is a confusing sense that we’ve heard all this before"
Probably because we have. Darlin's been around for about 2 years hasn't it?
Simply excellent pictures! and words!
Well done!
codswallop in 'judging a book by it's cover shocker'!
Just had a listen, they sound alright actually.
I like Blood Visions.
Deborah Meedon wants the Sexyophanist.
To blow her off.

From the poodle hair to the Flying V guitar and the hurtling, glam-punk crunch of their sound, everything about Jay Reatard’s merry band of cohorts screams
BUNCH OF DICKHEADS.
CPWK rule, I am absolutely gutted that they have splitted up.
:`(``````````````
Hmmm, I wonder what hats they will be wearing for this one????
Electro punx, R & R shite or Trippy dance band?
Brian Jonestown massacre
Gutted!
"Prince is gonna turn up with a forty person entourage,”
So Portishead won't be taking their orchestra with them this time then.
Oh yes, it's all good people!
It's alllllll good!
I reckon you would be a good fashion designer Bamos.
You have got that sort of look about you. Am I right?
Wrong on a few accounts there Lauski.
Mainly the fact that it has been impossible to jump the fence since 2003 (they made it a lot bigger).
The other glaring error is that Reading and Leeds is basically chaville Arizona. Never ever ever will I go to one of those Godforsaken festivals again.
In saying that though, Glasto has definately gone to the dogs. Last year was the final straw.

I have to agree with the voices. The dialogue at the end of track 2
leaves me groping for the fast forward button straight away. Not too keen on the blissed out funk tracks at the end, either really. Other than that pretty much perfect.
