I'm actually

getting ready to pledge my undying love for 'Lion in a Coma' right now.
That sentence felt a bit like an ultimatum, almost daring AC's fans to have unique opinions on each album, which, of course, they do.
All in all, though, great review for an album that, despite the early January release, will remain in the forefront of the music world's mind until 2009's close and beyond.

yep

wolf like me and dry drunk emperor absolutely clinch it. but, i'm still eager to hear this one.

Can't wait

to get my hands on it. I've always loved dealing with my stress through psychotherapy with ben folds. also, i notice that the release date is next week. is that just the day of the US release?

Oooohhh

I hate them now. I only liked the music they put out because I truly thought they were from Montreal. The quality of music is totally different now, and I don't think my life will ever be the same after this shocking, heartbreaking piece of grat journalism.

*Author's Note: If spoken aloud, this paragraph would be dripping with disdain. Kev, Please provide some real news, and soon.

I've got

Nice and Nicely Done, and I'm eager to hear this release. They have always been a bit poppy and bubbly (kazoos are a stretch) but I've always liked them, for some reason. It's definitely worth a listen for me.

Haven't

gotten or heard it yet, but I love TVOTR, and I'm hoping this album delivers. I'm sure that they bring something powerful to this release.

Definitely

doesn't match the epic impossibility of Rock Action, but it's still a great record, in a tad different way. I agree that some of the songs (especially Thank You Space Expert) does not measure up to the levels of tension brought. All in all, though, I think it's a solid album from one of the most prominent post-rock bands out there.

Fucking brilliant

I can't get over the layering on this album. The transitional phases in "Good Girl/Carrots" and "Take Pills" are so seamless. This record has been blaring on my headphones for ages now, and I don't forsee it wearing out its welcome anytime soon.

Agreed.

Just because you don't like something a group puts out doesn't mean they've stopped trying. It just means they're moving in a direction you may not particularly like. Thanks for being a rational defender. "Water Curses" has its individual creative worth, not to be compared to previous work.
