as followed their progression from the start, sure the album isn't as cut throat as the first EPs and demos but I still play it on average once a day.
I'd have them share the Pluto prize with Mystery Jets as adore that album

was awesome! she has this great presence on stage and to cap it off Robyn dueted with her for the final song "I'm Good, I'm Gone"

i would only buy NME because of the lack of diversity from all the other mags but it does tend to be rather late in terms of new acts and crazes etc
i'm frequently on here, like the reviews and interviews in Loud and Quiet plus various blogs, pitchfork can also be quite good but they seem to rate a lot of albums that simply don't deserve it

she's camden crawling, album's good :)

no mention of the violin, it adds a different dimension to them especially in get what you want and leave it alone.

female vocalists - a very subjective issue, easier to accept a guy's voice as they can blend but much easier but womens' voices stand out thus it seems mr diver has a prob with her outlandishness

another standout is yes yes, whilst the final song "pantomine" adds a nice chilled out end to the album

i left the leicester gig just before they were about to come on, it was like £2 and i had seen johnny foreigner, i was actually put off by the band's rep for winning the mobile act. From the myspace songs they don't seem to have much of an ex-factor but props for being honest about the industry, A and M seem to have some issues with management!!

album very uplifting and fresh and juvenile at the same time.

alkon has pulled off a great production, kudos to the lads with this one, one of my albums of 2008:)

I enjoyed the lineup last year, sound restrictions ruined it all - whatz the news on this issue? is there a better licence negotiated?!

also i missed one of my fave bands as the listings were not announced, u had to buy the £3 or so book before and I was too late

i think there's some artist repentance against it or is it just lightspeed champion? he sees it as just an A & R fest (ref - his latest blog entry) but essentially music is a commodity and needs to be showcased, a lot of people can't just rely on buzz or recommendations and need this kind of stage to make up their mind
would love to be over there to check out the talent on offer from other countries however exams are waiting to be sat and cross atlantic flights are not so cheap!
will there be a review of SXSW coming up, a nice little highlights package?
