Wrong score there,

I think that an 8 or maybe a 9 is better, it's a real grower and is now a mainstay of my instrumental listening.

Fionn Regan

looks like Bjorn from ABBA in that photo.

Folktronica

is probably not the best label for the British Expeditionary Force really. No offence meant there, it's a good review of a great record label.

Would a dance

have gotten rid of that boredom?

Castle Donnington

in a fight

between Zane Lowe and Scott Mills who would win? Tong Vs. Kay would be good too.

I've had this

for months(because Vertigo have delayed it twice) and I think it's brilliant, a great indie pop album that's full of variation, 8/10 is fair, although i might give it a 9, although i'm very biased. Also, the video for Rhinemaidens is beautiful if anyone hasnt seen it yet.

It doesn't surprise me

that this album had a positive review after reading their interview, it was sort of hinted that this was a good band behind all of the Channel 4 stuff. It's nice to see that they get recognition for the album as it is pretty great, plus they have a fair amount of support from people here who can see that they're a bit disheartened with the A&M stuff.

agreed,

you would think A&M would try to stop them, although if they don't care particularly then they may not even see this.

i really like them to be honest, i watched MobileAct in it's entirety and they were the best on there in terms of music and personalities, so many others were just typical lad rock (Revenue etc) who may have been better off eventually because they are more T4 friendly but they don't have anything new in music.

Also, i don't know anything about record contracts, would E&OS get £1 million if/when they're dropped? If so, it's not a huge loss for them apart from the soul-destruction over the last few months.

Also, as Jarvey might read this, is there any chance of a We Leave At Dawn Poster (please?), i went into Swordfish today in Birmingham and they refused to give any out.

i asked them

who wrote one of the b-sides to Highness, on the 7", "You've Got Something" and they replied:

"we don't know. we were forced to put it on our single against our wishes - it's the theme tune from the mobileact programme. our first version was a reggae one featuring mark on spoken word lead vocals, but they wouldn't accept that one! we're trying to pretend the song doesn't exist..."

I feel really sorry for them. Also, Highness is a great catchy pop tune isn't it?

god,

has jeremy warmsley gone gangster now?

imagine him doing a collaboration with timbaland.
best. song. ever.

if they had included Hummer and Mathletics

that would have made 6 songs that people already had (albeit as demos etc.)

would have been good to see how David Sitek reworked hummer and mathletics anyway though considering Balloons sounds pretty much the same with a saxophone added.

if they didn't

take themselves so seriously they wouldn't be so bloody annoying.

sounds like

the pipettes having sex with Klaxons whilst a drumkit beats out the rhythm.

to be honest

i don't like super abundance as an album title.

don't get me wrong i love young knives but i just don't like the sound of it.

and live they may be slightly out of tune but that's what makes them amazing, they have such energy and at Underage Festival they blew away so many of the other acts.

and they seem really genuinely nice blokes too.

linkin park/cribs ep?

unlikely but it would cause "nervous breakdowns"

lethal bizzle i reckon. jump on the bandwagon.

SHADY BARD

their album was immense, YOU GAVE IT A 9! why is it not here?!?

stop being so stupid.

the automatic with pennie back in their ranks of course.

recordstore.co.uk

are selling them too.

that would

both put me off buying the album AND give me nightmares. i really like iron and wine's collaboration with calexico, that's his best release yet

underage

was brilliant.

definitely agree with part-of

becuase lets face it, his parents don't work at the priory and therefore have no real knowledge of how to stop drug abuse. get some real experts.

i met

their drummer at underage, he was amazingly nice, their performance was pretty good, they really got the crowd excited and were the best thing for atmosphere in the early afternoon. that said, their tunes are pretty weak and all sound similar after a while

ouch

one of them is really good looking. (not paedophilia, i'm 15) the thin one with long hair. gorgeous.

the drummer looks about 9 but is 17.
just look at him.

i would hang mine

in my high street. that way people would ask what on earth it was to which i could respond: "a poster from one of the best albums of the year" and then maybe some people in Worcester would investigate Bjork's new album, like it and get some decent music taste, instead of HMV's best selling single being Fall Out Boy. or just on my wall.

but

northhampton's in the midlands.

however, i understand your frustration. if there were ANY good bands from worcester i'd be the first to point it out. not that there are mind you.
