Eek

No justification required.

It's a review, innit.

They gave 'Suicide' a gong

I declare them better than the Q awards

Early.

Much obliged to you

What time

did it finish? Im thinking about taking a punt on the acoustic part re-occurring, and dont want to lose a toe if I dont have to.

True^

...

"It's believed that the remaining trio will carry on without Hawkins"

How?

And more importantly, why?

Yay!

Nice review - theres a lot of phrases in it where I think 'yeah, that *is* what he sounds like', when you havent descibed the beats in pointless detail or resorted to awkward metaphors. Also, thanks for saying that this kind of stuff isnt souless, as some lusers would have you believe.

Massively excited to hear this now.

dern it

I was hoping theyd choose me

deja vu

has a terrible video. Beyonce dances like a mentally ill person

Have i missed something?

Or are Klaxons *really* bad?

Just cos you can dance to it, it dont make it right.

that sounds AMAZING

Can I be in your band?

whats up with his hair

was he in a stoner band?

dont apologise

i laughed.

all good points

I didnt mean to imply you are all DPT fans. Heaven forbid.

Im a bit touchy when it comes to pop music...i dont think its always given the consideration it deserves at times, and i tend to see (probably unintentional) condescension towards it in reviews.

disposable, not challenging...

...must be a pop review.

That second paragraph wound me up. Funny how these cliches dont seem to turn up when it comes to our indie friends. How 'challenging' are the kooks, or editors? Really? Isnt this type of music more challenging, in that it incorporates genres (albeit in a diluted form) that yr average indie kid has no idea about? In what way is this disposable? Will anyone be listening to Dirty Pretty Things in 5 years?

buy the album!

Every track sounds like a potential single

good review btw

but

Couldnt they put her back for appearing in 'You got served'

WORD

i know!

The resemblence is uncanny

So right

Except i did that bit from futurama:

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

with optional: 'There is no god'

what about

Ukraine? They were awesome. Unless I only dreamt it

too true

if i see razorlight one more time on c4, heads will roll

G-song

Off 'In it for the money'

Spot on

Its a huge step forward for them.

Though

its the last thing he'd want to hear, I believe he is incapable of making a bad record.

Prove me wrong, kids

im glad

this article has (for the most part) steered clear of the usual 'what a useless talentless wanker'

focus on the delorean people

quick question

are all his songs as terrible as the ones on myspace?

fair play

I wouldnt know the difference tbh. I am not proud of that.

How come no one ever remakes songs that actually need improving:

Johnny Cash covers NIN = great
Artic monkeys cover Girls Aloud = worst thing ever ever.
Anyone covers Radiohead = no cause for optimism

*puts hand up*

I heard a samba-ish version of 'Just' on xfm a while back...is this the same thing?

Cos it was a bit lame.

Aye

More bands should make one album and split anyway - i mean intentionally, not in the 'wheres my demographic?' pop-idol/x-factor way.

Album was pretty good, too.

mine was

muse supported by 'Tyler'. Where are they now? Who cares?

But Bellamy signed my ticket, which was ace.

Yr right about Dont Stop Me Now

TUNE

Er

not that i wont be dancing to Liars, of course...

If

i remember ULU, you wont get served in time for Liars...

I think it will be cool - have a little dance to kaito then settle in for some sublime weirdness from Liars. Nice contrast i reckon.

nice

ULU support is Kaito...that is great news! Is anyone going to the Curzon Cinema thing too?

Dunno

I agree about supernature being underwhelming, but I fancy this as quite an ace pop single
