The kids sure love the dead...?
Classic campaign Saatchi & Saatchi... Idiots.
Fuck Glastonbury...
Bristol can drum up 2 mini festivals in 2 weekends!
Broke, fix me
Been looking forward to it. Can't really afford the ticket AND to drink though! So i've entered cette competition, with what i'd describe as a "well educated guess". I mean, like, "well educated, innit".
Nah, it wasn't...
He even said; "whoever 'reviewed' this"... despite the reviewer's name being clearly stated at the head of the article.
I believe the point is that music should be reviewed on its merits, and that hype and accessibility needn't be a major point of focus.
Personally i thought the review was okay, but cannot judge whether i agree accurately, as have not heard the album nor the preceding EP.
...
Simon Amstell is genius! Grew on me with Popworld. And on the new series of Never Mind the Buzzocks, constantly had me in hysterics.
Alex Zane isn't very funny. Though i do like some of his fake gameshows on Balls of Steel.
Sadness is probably...
Thinking you're too cool to watch Adam Sandler films or romantic comedies!
If they just aren't your cup of tea, fair enough.
Anyway, Click would break even the Tin Man's heart (or Scarecrow, whichever it is).
The View are shit
Brimful of Asha... ha ha ha
No, sadness is
The tail end of Adam Sandler movie "Click"...
Poor pete
Ha ha... Titus Bramble. Come on though, Pete touches a lot of people with his music and heart. Don't compare him to Newcastle's defence, nor mock him. Drugs'll do bad things to people. I don't suppose anyone here has ever tried drugs? Oh no no no.
Also, was anyone seriously considering the credentials of a Daily Mirror story?! Poorly devised and researched even for the Mirror.
1st album was a masterpiece
This one, have had for quite a long time. Originally listened once and then stayed away. But after giving it a fair shot, honestly, its pretty good. Immesurably different; a little over delicate perhaps. But actually, once accepted into your system, pretty good. I may try get to Oxford. Saw them there supported by Walkmen few years back (one of the best gigs ever).
I BUM THE OPEN
I appreciate this is a very behind the times comment.... but... I loved the 1st album, and this one was quite possibly, even better. Certainly magical. Ethereal is also, a highly suitable word for it. Some of the tracks do take their time, and why not, they are their songs. If they need to smoulder, let them. I was fortunate enough to see The Open quite a few times. On one occasion touring this album. Was gutted they split up, because they were a special band i think. Easily one of the best of the decade. In my humble opinion. I miss them a lot frankly. I really should have a look to see if they have moved onto other projects. Would advise anybody to listen to both albums a few times over.
Somehow
... almost raised a smile. Intentional pun?
Arty pants
I fail to see how artwork or a band name has any relevance to the music. Unless the tracks were etched into artwork and played on a turntable. Now that would be relevant. Haven't heard this song, but hoping i like it, as fancied they'd be one album wonders, to coin a phrase.
Nice Review
I've previously slated them as well. What's with the keyboard player? He even danced "intensely" to the intro/outro's on the (pretty woeful) Friday Night Project on channel 4 awhile back. Yes, i was in on a Friday. Yes, this is a Saturday night. Yes, i should get out more.
The Automatic are No.4 in the charts? They ARE shit though!?
Oh well. New Walkmen album.... Thumbs up.

Cribs gear up for LP with instores and FROG gigs
Why only 2 instore gigs though? Too interfering with their busy drinking schedule?! Hardly even news!
Ladytron
I really liked 1984. A classic certainly. Though it still might not live up to your expectations, given its fame.

Re: Arctic Monkeys - Five Minutes With Arctic Monkeys
And i MAY have been exaggerating! Also if you say "I live in a terraced house" for comedy value, i was unaware.
Listen to some Arctic Monkeys anyway, they sparkle. And Little Flames are supporting them on tour which'll make for a brilliant gig.
Robbie records to be deleted
Also, pop music isn't necessarily bad, and i think its probably fair to say he's had some good songs out in his time, even if i wouldn't go out and buy or listen to them personally. Still, he does seem to be a tosser.
Carling drinkers: your music taste is as poor as your taste in beer...
I had some carling again the other night at one of their stunning venues... it really isn't very nice! Cheap though, so fair play to them!
Oh, and i've slept with Robbie Williams.
