I'll be jumping
on the 97 for this one. A night out in Bradders is long overdue!
first heard
this song about 3 days ago and can't stop playing it. after 2 minutes of the first play it got my vote for song of the year. so glad he's back, maybe a bit of time off has rekindled his passion and you can tell he means every word. who else can you say that for? fucking genius
my brother
came home last night with one shoe but he said nothing of going to london and throwing the other one at ms spiteri
Nah,
Would love to say it's a great album but it clearly isn't. Lacks ideas and churns out the same lame tempo, tired riffs and half hearted lyrics on far too many of the songs. The only songs that hint at urgency and really 'caring' about their output are 'you only live once', 'heart in a cage' and 'fear of sleep'. the rest don't even make good b-sides.
remember...
puddle of mudd?
were they nickelbacks side project or just another grunge dirge?
dreadful american bands are much worse than dreadful british bands. discuss. something about that californian whinge voice that grates on my soul, seems this new wave of emo has taken this baton further.
just heard
rooster on the radio and it was so fucking godawful i couldn't decide whether i wanted to die or i wanted them to die.
train are up there contending for champions league positions and i think the kooks have just climbed into a uefa spot however nickelback have run away with the title.
what ever happened to limp biscuit?
i think
evanescence and rooster might like to join this race
something wrong
about this.
sure enough, would be brilliant to see them in such an interesting venue (aslong as they left out the majority of their 3rd album) but why do they have to hook up with a phone company. never in favour of sponsorship but i understand how useful it can be to give small bands a leg up, do the strokes need a leg up?
why not use their initiative a little and explore some intimate cave like venues 'sea power' style without some fuckin 'tampax presents' slogan behind them.
you know
its gonna be shite when your dumbfuck work colleague says, 'i bought that monster album the other day...you know that one where it goes "theres that monster on the hill and its a monster".
thats it now, i resign from humanity.

Jefrrey,
When an idea strikes what do you pick up first; a pencil or guitar?
