Someone should tell the Arctic Monkeys that you can't do shows of this size without some showmanship. People in Row Z need to be entertained too.

I think the review sums it up well at the end saying they'll eventually emerge triumphant. As a first offering from the band it really seems to signal that they could well go on to great things.
Again, I must see them live to really know whether this is the case but I'm happy to join the bandwagon.
I do actually have one old 7-inch by them
that is ok.
They're cover stars of Plan B magazine this month - they look as boring as their music.
Lyle..
I found this free mp3 on their label's website
I think this is called 'Ballad of Lou The Welterweight'

I really like their lyrics - took a while for me to get past the 'that sounds like Dylan' vocals, but once I did it's an absolute treat of a record.

Electrelane were so DULL supporting The Arcade Fire. I don't get why people love this band so much, everything about them live was uninspiring and the vocals were horribly weak.
Can someone explain their appeal?
..
Good review - I've been hearing some v good things about these boys from people in NYC.
They're definitely the real deal - hope to see them live in the UK sometime soon.
They were
ace when they played house parties in Glasgow. Good times.
However I think they'll be gone this time next year with a whole host of the current crop of hyped bands.
I
love the Jens Lekman covering Scout Niblett track...yeh!
