you must...

...watch Lovvers. They are a phenomenal live band. When I saw them support Biffy Clyro they got booed at the end but I still thought they were amazing. They play raucous energy filled punk with early Nirvana influences. Its loud, its crazy and you HAVE to see them! Oh and Let's Wrestle of course..

.

This album is a collection of pretty much what we expected from LC, however Midnight Suprise really was a surprise. It is by far the best song on the album and if only the album could have been maybe 6 or 7 songs like this rather than 1 standalone 9 minutes epic and about 10 other throwaway songs.

Poor review

I usually like DiS reviews but this one is really lazy and what somebody who maybe does not know much about the band might write. They play simple and energetic punk music which is a real punch in the face. It feels as if Alex Denney was expecting some sort of new musical direction when really you expect the opposite of them, of which I am glad for. Keep ploughing out these beasts BYOP!

love maps :)

agreed

i agree! where the hell IS dinosur jr?!

idiot

The Cribs - MNWNW is a fantastic album and the Jarman brothers have clearly stepped up their game musically and lyrically. I can almost guarantee you haven't heard the album because that seems to be the ignorant thing to do lately, hear about a band, realise the NME like them, claim they're shit etc. Be Safe alone is the best song of 2007.

Heres my top 5 from your list

1) Radiohead - In Rainbows
2) The Cribs - MNWNW
3) Justice - Cross
4) The Maccabees - Colour It In
5) MIA - Kala

pfft

their new album is their most successful to date and they don't the NME to bring them extra success because they have one of the most loyal fanbases around and got both their comeback album and singles in the top 20 without any real advertising. I also doubt that the cribs "called up the NME," because the NME blood bum them to hell and anything slightly interesting to do with the cribs will be printed or on nme.com within minutes. the jarmans are the true voice of modern indie rock and if you haven't seen it by now then fuck off.

you know nothing

have you ever even seen the cribs in a public appearance other than the NME awards??!?! it was an awards ceremony, EVERYONE WAS DRUNK. Every other interview or appearance they have made they have never been drunk or tried to be rock and roll! they are very nice people who even seem quite shy at times and you should make sure you do your research before you try to make a point.

you're an idiot

they are everything the strokes are not they dont believe in looking your most perfect and following the rules. its all about enjoying the music you play and having a good time. the cribs write about things that everyone can relate to and you not always listen to one reviewer who may have once proclaimed them "similar to the strokes"
