I was a huge fan of ToD until Worlds Apart came out. I am most curious to see if the new record will be any good. Quality interview btw.
'this disc'
the most delicious and coherent compilations I have ever had the pleasure to own, fact. 9/10
I enjoyed the first two TVotR albums
but I thought some of the tunes on Dear Sciences were not just filler, but actually rather bad. The mass popularity of this record continues to baffle me.
No In Ear Park??
WRONG.
I wonder
if the slang "mutt" actually originates from the word "mulatto"....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mulatto
I'm a couple of different races, and tbh I'm not sure I give a toss what the guy may or may not think.
Blah
I'm saving my monies for Benicassim :D
I guess I'm not the only one
who's just hoping they'll have some amazing new science to grow you new ears by the time I'm 30.
Uh-huhhh
me as well. This song is so bad it's hilarious.
Haha...
That's class :D
.
I thought the point was it was a joke, because they were signed when they were about 16 years old and so the best the could manage on the rampaging mob-front was a couple of bikes.
And it's pop-punk, isn't the ephemerality half the point? What're you after, Nietzsche? And no I'm not sure ephemerality is a word, I'm just....
Oh, screw it.
GRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIZZLY
BEARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!
(I am going, I am excited, I will be the crazy dancing girl in the front row :D :D :D)
LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRSSSSSSSSSSS!!!
As one of the elitest few...
...I think I'll rather miss the oooompah-RAH-RARRGH myself. Having liked her even pre-Soviet Kitsch, I found "On the Radio" sufficiently distresssing to render me unable to listen to this album yet, but I mean, I really love the heavy classicalwyrd sound on tracks like "20 years of snow", do we not have enough fun pop-cult acts already?
"Heather Toast"
Greatest. Name. Ever.
Album touring
yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
:)
Unless it's a damn good gig
Night buses are an evil I would always rather avoid.
Mind you, so are Guns N Roses.
I suspect
that at the end of the day, all people will remember of generation 2000 is The Liberteens and their Lahndahn scene spawn.
Loved Has a Good Home
Loved the new songs live.
Endevouring not to be put off by the title.
Very excited about hearing the other new material.
I actually heard this interview
gotta love those nordic accents :D
I suspect
brusma was referring to the wedding, not the jail sentence.
And I'd give 'em twelve.
Well I thought
Bodysnatchers was awesome.
I find this whole subject
leaves me feeling vaguely unclean...
aaaaaaaaah, the indiesnobbery.

HA.
Okay
now I do feel bad about not going :\
.
Obviously the man is a fool, but I can kinda believe he was taking the needle out. Not wanting to be mistake for a Babyshambles fan but just look at the expression on his face, it's hardly "HAHAAA LOOK ISN'T INJECTING UNCONSCIOUS GIRLS WITH SMACK HILARIOUS??!?!!1?11!!ONEONEONE"
I could be mistaken though.
And there I was thinking
maybe I shouldn't persue a life in broadcasting and get a sensible, stable job instead. Fat chance now *grin*
I'm going to find a copy of this
based solely on your use of the word "lachrymose".
OOOooo
I've not listened to one of these before, but Hanne Hukkelburg! :)))
Must go figure out how podcasts work.
Haha
Agreed.
This track
"juicebox" and "vision of division" were the only tracks on the new album which didn't make my toes curl, but I still appreciate your use of the word "dross" *grin*
Ajsakisfdoji!!
I already have Koko tickets, but I might just have to get ones for the 19th as well (the friends of the earth gig is half SuperFurryAnimals or something)
Fuck, where's a pawn shop when you need one?
Is there anyone here....
....who likes both Fever to Tell and Show Your Bones?
FtT is one of my favourite albums, and I listened to this several times but had to give up eventually. I love Fever to Tell because it's furious and frenetic and messy and violent and glorious! Show Your Bones just bored me....
That is
very scary news indeed.
Up the Bracket
Would be something else. If Doherty could somehow magically regain his voice/general connection with reality.
I don't know if I'd rather see Broken Social Scene or You Forgot it in People. Both maybe, one after the other :D :D
I fear
they're heading for the land of Wallpaper Music. Two More Years was very listenable, but hardly arresting :/
Mmmm well
at least there is now Be Your Own Pet to fill the explosive-fun void
and they can play their instruments!
always a bonus
:D
.
Ah, what broad vocabularies kids have these days.
As someone who previously found B&S abit glum
I love it. The lyrics to White Collar Boy has me grinning broadly at some perplexed passengers on the bus this morning, it's great :D

I'd give this a 5/10
as much as I dislike being negative, I got this as an impulse purchase and, as much as I liked some of the previous WBA stuff, I thought this was deeply monotonous - there's just too much amazing music around right now to spend time listening to records like this. Lovely artwork though.
