A+++

this is great

I managed to listen to it

before it was taken down.

On first listen, i quite liked it, but it is very much not a Sparklehorse record. There are certainly elements of Sparklehorse, but unfortunately Linkous hardly sings at all (mainly guest vocalists). It's a very produced, big sounding album that i'll need a few more listens to really digest.

NYC Ghosts and Flowers?

massive WTF

Wow, wasn't expecting this

Nice surprise, this band get so little recognition so hopefully some people will explore a little further having read this article.

I don't think they really hit their stride until All Harm, but that and Offshore are two of my favourite albums of the last 5 years or so. Really looking forward to what they do next.

wait

there's actually a band called LMFAO?

It's a decent record

although prefer his previous album, The English Cold.

Get this junk off my internet

You've lost the news!

Looking forward to this

Transparent Things is one of my favourite albums of the last few years. In fact, i'm going to listen to right NOW.

Fleeting Joys

Pretty much a carbon-copy of Loveless-era MBV. Whether this is a good thing is a matter of opinion, but i think they do a good impression.

So DiS in-jokes are now gracing news articles

Time to call the clique-police.

Nice interview

Looking forward to this record.

ParaSNORE

Who exactly is buying tickets for this shitfest?

I can understand it for Take That, but the Spice Girls? Not the most endearing bunch , are they?

I really need to get my hands on that

Excellent article too.

*grammar

Too easy.

But yeah, her solo album is really good. Really grown on me recently after being initially a bit non-plussed by it. Might try and make the Brighton show.

Headline should've been

"Thom Yorke responsible for 2000 job losses".

I'd hit it

You have 5 marbles

It represents the number of years since Cat Power made a decent record. Amirite?

I love Barzin

and this is a really good album - one of my many discoveries on Epitonic.com, back in the day.

And yeah, Past All Concerns is a great song, although it does totally rip off a Red House Painters track.

Noel Gallagher admits to lack of inspiration

for the last decade*

2080 is awesome

But i've not really heard anything else. Has anyone heard the album? How does it hold up in comparison?
