I love this album and I couldn't bear to see it not commented on. Yatsura are severely underrated and criminally overlooked.

It's worth looking out for Projekt A-Ko, whose name isn't as good, but easier to pronounce, and three of the four band members used to be in Urusei Yatura.

aaah, Pavement. Now THAT's a reissue. The re-releases of the Meat Puppets albums on cd were pretty good too - some of them have as many decent bonus tracks as there was tracks on the album to begin with.

damn straight. saw them in sheffield and was a little puzzled by the ploddy 10 minute bit. rest of the gig was ace though. especially The Bronze Medal and Film For The Future. i wasn't keen on the new stuff until i heard it live.

or, to clarify, a classy piece of writing. On the Idlewild issue I preferred the straddling they did for 100 Broken Windows. Love Steals Us From Loneliness may have fallen onto the ploddy side a bit, but I haven't heard the album yet and I'm hoping to be impressed when I see them in April.

I don't mean to disrespect Peel or anything, but I do have an inkling that a certain cockney smackhead might've won if Peel hadn't died first...

And his death seems to have been the cue for the Brits, NME et al to take his name in vain.
