Much as I rate Dizzy
and have nothing against the Arctic Monkeys, I don't understand why everything needs cross-over appeal? Why can't groups just have their own fans and live with it? Unless an actual good song is written during a collaboration, it's just happening for the sake of it-which is wrong.
can't wait for the album
This song's grown on me so so so much.
Also, a nice original and entertaining idea for the video.
Can't wait!
I love Transmit Disrupt, but can see why some wouldn't. The context it was made under (newly dropped, pressure to release something) influenced it a lot, and I've read interviews saying it wasn't great being in the band around then.
I think this'll be a stonker if they combine the old sound with the moodier transmit stuff. Cannae Wait!
I think it's really funny
That in the majority of their press photographs, the fat singer is either covered slightly by other band members, or half of him is off-screen.
The "clap clap clap"
bit is awful
Told badly
at a funeral, to a widow.
This has grown on me so much
BUT
I really think the album's so much more of a joy when you skip 'Nausea Shreds Yr Head' and 'Rat Rider' which, for me, are the only times this album gets dull.
Awesome...maybe on a par with Crimes.
I also didn't like
the old name. 'Panic Prevention' comes from the self-help tapes he had for his panic attacks dunnit?
I liked the image of
someone weeing shit...
Waiting for the Uk Release
is actually killing me. Seems really poorly organised too. I bet a lot of people will have just downloaded it by now...I know I could get an export copy, but for some reason I wanna hang on.
I'm a fool.
Enjoy this
I like the pop influence, it's only one song on the entire album, rather than an all out attempt to go "soft". I think taken as a one-off, it sits well with the rest of their stuff.
awesome!!
Only seen them once at a festival, which was great but isn't quite the same. Snapped up my manchester tickets!
I knew he still recorded
but he quit music a long time ago.
I love seeing Frank
Such a nice guy. When you think it's not much more than a year since Million Dead and he's barely stopped touring and written some really good songs, you can't knock his work-ethic.
In Liverpool he played 'Mr Jones' for me and my best friend, and is always game for a chat.
Been really really
getting into some Springsteen lately. He's one of the only artists who can do fantastic overblown rock and genuinely moving acoustic stuff and everything inbetween. Perfick.
I thought you were white...
gutted.
That cover is
basically the storyline, start to finish of the video.
I remember when I first heard this band...I literally couldn't believe that even Doherty fans could overlook how awful they were in the pursuit of "scene points".
As far as them continuing goes, I'd imagine they won't stay together after the money stops rolling in, never seemed they were doing it for love to me.
GUNS
liek...men WELL shoot people, YOU FAGGOTS.
Love The Shins
but
recon it'll be gash...dunno why...just, how long it's taken/meh-ness of its' promo. That quote makes me want to never be in the shins.
buzzwords;
"better"
"project"
"discoveries"
"time"
"approach"
"new"
"perespective"
=
"aggggg"
Sure it'll be inoffensive enough.
BITCH MOVE
She Mooooves!
Hmmm
They couldn't do another album entirely full of insane punk songs though.
It takes some getting used to but I really enjoy this album.
guh!?!
This is one of the laziest drownedinsound reviews I've seen.
The only description of the song at all is one quote from the lyrics. I think this is one of the angriest Bronx songs going, not that that even matters, cus it's fucking great riff-wise as well.
Of course that is my opinion, but maybe a bit more in depth next time Raz? B-sides, etc?
Pearl Jam
totally made the festival for me. I knew like, 4 songs and they blew me away.
Same goes for everyone I was with, wasn't just the tightness; the atmosphere, the crowd and how much it obviously meant to the band all made it a huge hi-light.
Russel Brand is Auschwitz
. Taking that back, he's competent on stage but FAR from amazing. The only comics showing any kind of imagination lately are Stewie Lee and Dan Kitson
Grrrr
I've ordered this, but as it's a case of repressing (i think) It may take a bit...still, looks like t'will be worth it!
This band
POWERFUL suck.
Must be Ridiculously
Rich now. Good on him!
Hah, "Lamers"
thom yorke breaks horses legs for a living...
fully agree
You kind of get lost in all this odd noise and everyone's like the same person. THEN. They hit you with a riff and five hundred people fly in different directions, awesome experience.
Is It Cus He's Fat?
I thought they were tryna break the states
ROFFLED
more feathers surely
Britney Spears is a better Punk band
RECENTLY BETTER LIVE PUNK HAS INCLUDED;
The Adequate Seven, The Blood Brothers, The Bronx, Capdown, Engerica, Gay For Johnny Depp, Hot Snakes (rip), Million dead (rip).
I'd like to throw in Hell is For Heroes were just fantastic last time I saw them, but I generally consider them straight-up rock.
That's
Tragic Tragic Tragic tragic tragic Tragic
LOVE
captains of industry.
yeh it must be nice nice nice
But come on, it's not The Others or something, it's the Head and they've probably earned it.
Not the best
but would LOVED to have moshed a bit to um at Leeds...
Crazy Hits...
was just a collection of songs. This feels like an album. A body of work.
Hah
How many times have they gone on about their immensley "prolific" sessions...the albums worths of extra material and they can't even cobble together an EP. Really no wonder if "don't believe the truth" was their best shot.
haha
that's so true, but really made me chuckle
"the famous man looked at the red cup"
terribly written
applecore
were being money grabbing bastards the first time round. The logo's look fuck all like eachother in my opinion.
