surely not.

she played poker face just her voice and the piano ala. live lounge version before the proper version and it literally could Not have been mimed. maybe the rest.

i can agree with post of what you're saying

and can't really defend the amount of articles in this bracket aside from maybe that DiS took this opportunity during the change over to bring back some of their old friends to trial some new kind of features etc. ie. i can imagine entirely a takeover of this variety working amazingly well if it was a band the majority of the boards enjoyed you see. we'll see i guess. btw, no personal quarrel you must understand.

Fuck Me

this kind of animosity is Ridiculous.
here it comes, i enjoyed the Kaiser Chiefs demoes and early stuff that DiS got me into them through, i enjoyed their album Employment and i think there are some stellar pop tracks on Yours Truly Angry Mob, i have lost touch with them purely because their songs haven't grabbed me quite as much recently however i respect them entirely. whenever i see them on tv they seem like great down to earth lads, they played Elland Road and recently opened Leeds Academy showing they obviously still care about their hometown. they're not full of themselves and are in fact rather modest about their work, notice from the entire bullet-point list there was maybe 5 short bullet points about/around their Actual gig and no self-indulging RE: audience reaction/girls/song titles etc. and it proved as a rather interesting read i found about a bands life on the road. a true story. not glamorized or owt. there are enough other articles on DiS so as readers that Aren't into this/the band can read elsewhere rather than make rather obvious remarks RE: DiS' target audience etc. i've been a member on these boards for the last 6 years and i can usually accept some of the hostility as positive/negative criticism but constructive none-the-less but some of the people replying to this are just plain cunts. it has to be said.

iuno.

i like her too and think it's one of her stronger songs tbh.

that depends on which day..

..

have more been added for the friday?

i'm sure rolo and danananaykroyd weren't on there until recently.
i wish i could pick a day though. sundays looking more likely tbh.

The Academy Is..*

interesting take on it.

and a great read and point to be made to be honest. not gospel for every situation but i think it's true, the more people hear of you, even if that May be for free, the more potential new fans you may have to buy your merch/come to your shows rather than not a single one of them having never heard you. great article DiS and well wrote Fakesensations

just ^^ this one really

i generally am enjoying most of it, to add a bit of positive feedback. one thing i would like to see (which i realize has bee aforementioned) is maybe having a 'threads started' as well as a 'more recent posts' tables on each user profile; i think it's a good idea to have the 'threads started' but not instead of, as well. :) thanks

i've just got back

Dana and Wild Beasts were Fantastic. Foals were average. that is all.

actually you're right

and i reckon that with DiScover you're kinda covering that section anyway. a book review or two may be nice though every so often :)

i want

the 'demos' section back!

i shall happily be at this

as well as the gig later on. rather excited about it now actually. nice lil' taster article this one, good effort.
let's get a look at that poster/t-shirt then!?

haha entirely this ^^

8 songs from Puzzle.
Mountains and 57 to end it.
worst set Ever.
*sigh*.
played well admittedly but still. frustrating.

c)

The Verve

blurgh

as much as i hate to say it Winehouse or Last Shadow Puppets would've been solid choices for this.

anyone know where

you can hear 88 online..

anyone got

a link to '88? crackin' tune that's not on their myspace

yeah no i don't

dispute the length. some of my favourite albums are on the shorter rather than longer side.
i just thought 2 years on that sounds rather excessive.

this is

incredible.
why That tattoo on Him.
oh my..

huh

"These 37 minutes of music is the end product of two years’ inspiration, frustration, toil and passion."

37 minutes.

poor show.

oddly.

this year at Glastonbury around 5pm on wednesday night there were two other cars in front of us turning into the car park ie. no queue and little to no queue leaving too! the bigger fests seem to have their finger on the pulse

still left to be announced;

the Alternative stage featuring. Youthmovies and
the BBC Introducing stage.

DiS get lazy shocker

forget to copy paste the full Festival Republic stage line-up from efestivals/reading website/their own boards

this ^

is exactly what i thought.

a new

low

possibly a mix of

tickets and transport for a big group of mates?

yeah but this one inparticular

really. and the video.. srsly?!

Dizzee & Calvin

in at Number One.. it's a sad day for music.

^^

ha, i was there too, highly boring.
and Jack White coming on?! wtf. just no.

great call

on Let's Wrestle, kinda agreed on N*E*R*D too, okay but nothing spesh' and as slick as the Last Shadow Puppets track is, they All sound the same, i have no doubt however that it would make for Amazing James Bond theme music.

great article.

i'm working V and Bestival and definately hope to catch them again, saw them at Glastonbury then at their own show in Bristol a few nights ago.

the intro into My People is Amazing live.

10:45 <3

that makes me ridiculously happy
thanks =)

the question is..

which festival is next

my dad, watching from home,

sent me that line on a txt.
i flippin' loved it.
brilliant fun.

really? RE:^^

that pleases me as i think i may head to Newport tommorrow to see them. much from the new/3rd album? Casually/Seven&FourWays > everything else

i tell you what

this performance was amazing.
i'm not even a big franz' fan but being down at the front for this whole thing at the park stage was truly special.

this is all good news

and i'm enjoying that picture of eva too

i'll be there

for Jonquil, Sky Larkin and many more i feel.

^^

this x 5

but

seriously, who is left for the BBC Introducing stage this year!?

correct.

this is on the whole rather crap.

however The Cribs, Ting Tings, Lightspeed Champion, Raconteurs, Hold Steady, Black Kids, Hot Chip, Massive Attack, Biffy', Band Of Horses, Vampire Weekend, Crystal Castles and Black Keys will all be excellent.

i was there :)

twas rather good.

who is it atm then..

liars and bat for lashes!?
i'm out of touch.
if it's MGMT i may sell my ticket.
anyone..

i agree with the fact

that they are overrated but nevertheless still a good band. saw them at SXSW and enjoyed them enough to buy a killer t-shirt which would be even more killer if who saw me wearing it had 3D glasses on.

this is shite

i bumped into them soon after and they were truly gutted. terrible news to such lovely lads whom it was a pleasure to meet on several ocasions at South By'

: )

thank you Kev and team.

boring band

blah blah blah

i'm gonna ignore most of the negativity as this has been and Is amazing.

for example,

i get confused by a guy with my name who is the Editor of a New York magazine, inc. photopass; cue an amazing few days in the photopit for Serj', Tom Morello, Ben Harper, Billy Bragg, REM, etc. etc.

i've met and interviewed a shed load of bands as well as Lamacq, Zane Lowe and Huw Stephens and tbh there is nowhere else in the world where i could see such a diverse line-up of music in such odd and unique locations at the age of 18 whilst interviewing/photographing bands.

thanks

i'm not really

bothered about this news however if it means they're not at any european festivals (which i have gathered is the Main idea) then i'm happy
