i second Adorable's "Against Perfection". it's surprising how many fans of this genre (along with brit rock) don't know of them.

This album has a couple nice tracks but overall it's bland, sappy, bombastic and boring. I'd give the Editors debut album, The Back Room a solid 8 stars. This album gets a generous 6 or 7 stars.

who would you like to see get more bandwidth?

the arcade fire album and ambulance ltd albums came out in 2004... just two that i'm aware of.

i'd throw the solo album from the catherine wheel's rob dickinson into the top 50.
