well, yeah
brass instruments sound completely different, and it lead to me not bothering to read the review
some great stuff to be sure
seems to be some kind of weird typo where you haven't listed the Her Parents video tho???
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nBmzakyUFM
for anyone wondering,
a friend of mine says that someone from Radiohead once said that Steve Reich really liked Videotape, so it may well be what he's referring to.
totally agree with this review
really reflects my thoughts on the album, apart from 2 things:
melt should be grouped in with the drugs songs, being fairly clearly about ketamine
and
mentioning in a review that you once saw some guys in a band in their early twenties buying drugs is a bit weird
either "moronic"
or "ironic". probably the latter as it is a) clearly a joke and b) fairly funny
i was at that cardiff gig too!
it was very good, but i've since seen them better
1) sorta gimpy leather belty thing around his chest with a fake collar thing on top
2: none really, it was just stripping
3: fucking incredible live
"I guarantee there won't be a better singles collection released this year"
why on EARTH would you say something like that? why?
yeah
not true about mystery jets though
1 illegal download =/= one sale lost
emphatically.
was it only me who couldn't find
UK/england/britain on the options for countries then?
to be honest
i wanted to give it a 6 or 7. the 5 was added by a sub editor, presumably based on how they thought my review read, but i cant work out how to fix it
i was saying that it was all good but too expensive for me to pay for
i got the oportunity to go for free and enjoyed it, found some nice new stuff
no wolf eyes?
or any other actual noise artists?
to be honest
in some circumstances i found that it wasn't 100% tight between the visuals and the audio (i believe with the game following the visuals rather than the audio) but some of that is down to the way that its set up - there's calibration options to fix that tho
joeydubya
it's a pdf, so can't c+p it for you
i liked that
a bit like early elbow or something. good.
changing his tshirt
to something as political?
the whole of the DCHC scene
was made up of middle class washington civil servant's children - that's why it is so famous - all the kids could afford decent cameras, so theres lots of pictures, so we can lookback on it.
some great music though, and they may have espoused a DIY ethic, but nothing to do with poverty at all
it looks a lot like he's saying
that the last track is even better than the first track
this is a very very good review
i dont like the record THAT much though. some great bits, and i do like how it's structured, but i think there are a lot of passages that aren't really that inspired at all, and i really can't get on with the georgie fruit character at all. just seems silly and annoying most of the time
me too
done
this is the point
its just like one of those dance mat games, but you can do it sat down. its a fun reactions test thing.
wow
i dont think there's any need to be like that. i'm just saying that if you actually want to understand why people like the game, just say what you think people see in it and i'll try to explain based on that
weird
rough trade east had the 7" of id engager on the weekend?
although it was proper expensive so maybe an import
no, you explain
what do *you* think the game is for? you obviously have some idea of what you think it's for or you wouldn't ask a question like "Why would you want to mess around with a plastic guitar if you've got a real one?"
no,
you're an idiot. i've seen them live 3 times, hoping that the first was a mistake, and the third, a year later, they'd have any idea whatsoever what the fuck they were doing.
isn't the dome
the big space? that they couldnt possibly headline? this is a bit like that madison square gardens thing again isnt it?
if you've not experienced their live show for yourself yet (and, really, why on earth not?)
cos their live act is shit, consisting of them needlessly chopping up their records, artlessly reassembling them without any thought for any flow to proceedings and slapping filters over everything, destroying any dynamics that there would've been?
