Although its not really a live album, i thought the film rude boy was good for the live bits. It captures the excitement of seeing a band thats about to become ridiculously successful, while they're still good.

I briefly watched this band at Dot to Dot in Nottingham. I couldn't believe this was a real band and the kids were actually watching. I feel old now

I'm a little out of touch, there's more music than ever before and i need someone to do some quality control and show me the good stuff. John Peel is no more so I need to read about what i might like so i can listen to it and see if i like it.

I want to hear about new music, (particularly groups i can see live) which is interesting and not coated in seven shades of hype. I don't care what they look like or how indie they are, but i guess there are like-minded people writing on here so i can find some stuff i like.

they used to be mogwaiesque and very good live, but there must have been a major change in direction since I last saw them.

but i missed the twilight sad because they were on so early. There must be something wrong when you go to a gig on a saturday night and get home at 10pm...

I didnt hear him say anything about a boycott or anything about a "shitty city". He did seem very angry and he said something along the lines of if one more thing comes on stage i'm leaving. Also he went into the crowd AFTER that incident, so I think he's sensible enough not to assume all the people in there are arseholes.

Why do venues sell bottles anyway?

the dvd looks pretty good and the rarities looks alright. Will they be playing the stuff off of captain on the next tour? I saw idlewild supporting the stooges recently, its the only time i've ever seen them miss out 'when i argue...' nothing at all from hope is important, never mind captain!

...paolo nutini is playing on the same stage as led zep. There must be some kind of a law against that?

...I havn't seen or heard CBP before, I thought maybe the singer just had some kind of intense sadness that made him look so miserable. I thought they sounded great though.

Mogwai were definitely not as great as I've seen them before but I didnt expect them to be since I just want to hear stuff off young team.

I wish I was cool enough to understand Sunn0))) but I'm not so I don't know what I was watching.

I went to the king tuts date, the apes were amazing as were Mars Volta I couldnt stay to the end of Les Savy Fav's set, but that has to be one of the best gigs i've ever been to. Memories...
