The figure is completely unworkable. Even if it was correct, how many of these downloads can be acounted to someone downloading every single release from one lable all in one torrent? Or someone downloading a huge trance library just for the sake of it. Many many people download things just for the sake of it, because its there. If it wasnt available to them online for free, they wouldnt go and buy it so its notlost money. Its a small percentage of people downloading a hell of a lot of music thats the problem.

I bet illegal downloading is a much smaller culture than we think, its just here on dis we have the perfect breeding ground for it,(music enthusiasts who are generally tech savvy and have a lot of information about leaks and such) therefore we see it as a bigger problem.

the ENTIRE point of DisBand is to ask a band that is deemed questionable by DiS' core readership questions that will challenge them and their music and get yes that normally involves being a little harsh with the interviewee.

If this was a normal interview i would agree with you, but when we get smugness all day on the news section i dont see how this interview isnt the time?

its great, definately deserves a 9. Been listening to it for about a week and a half now and its not lost anything. I hope they'll tour again now its out.

the album yet, but ive just found out my band is suporting these at the Leadmill in sheffield this Friday. So im quite pleased :)

surely if they had reached top 10 theyre sales would already be boosted? Anyway i don't think a song they have given away for free as a download and only available on vinyl would get top 10.

with this album. Has no grit, they have some seriously boring songs on there, House of Cards should have been great. Its not. Damage and Homosapians are great, head is good, connect is ok. Then i don't get any joy. Ive listened to this album about 6 times now and at the moment i cant find any reason to listen again

really really happy when i played this album today. I got it and though, this is going to be a dissapointment. And i loved about 3/4 of the track. Isle of her is shit though.

I saw the dears and Coopers that night, great stuff in fact i think i saw Oceansize, Jim Noir and Dandy warhols that day too. Ok sunday WAS better but i had a good festival, complimented by bestival after... ahh twas a good summer

an absolute snapshot of what went wrong with the 'indie' music scene.Still the singer does sometimes look quite cool.....

Album coming out this year too, could be unexpected gem of 2007, probably wont sell loads of albums though more down to lack of marketing power, worth checking out though
