busy doing nothing is my favourite single of the last ten years
is my fave mogwai album, and most of my mogwai-loving mates would put it up there with the best thing they've done too. hoping this is as good, but a tad worried by the reviews ive seen...
...I'm in. sounds like a return to form to these ears.
but it's his speaking voice that really pisses me off. He sounds like he has a permanent blocked up nose. Poor chap.
stuff prior to this - but that single is gash. proper gash.
a) The Past Is A Grotesque Animal
i do the win
ever ever ever ever ever ever.
i keep telling people that I 'like them a bit', but everytime i listen to them i just fall a bit more in love. they are the acez.
well, of 2008.
wasn't his first record...more like his 4th :S
One Thing by Amerie. It, like Elbow in general, was excellente.
I've said it before, I'll say it again - Elbow are a fucking incredible band; Garvey for President.
what a band. long may they reign.
and guy mcgarvey is a terribly nice chap.
noone really gives a shit about the main stage headliners do they?
...but he comes across as such a fuckin nice bloke, that I actually like the album a whole lot more now. those two singles are killer.
good on dev x
loved all the singles, found the album a bit tough to get through
the song she is playing sounds like a bad bit of incidental music on dog the bounty hunter or something
when she wasnt quite so skinny.
still would, obvs. a lot.
if you release something in between albums as a stand-alone, it should be critiqued with as much emphasis as any single released off of an album-proper. this is gash, and should be considered gash no matter what it's context.
..."cool people will think its cool, stupid will hate it, also cool"
I hear the non-radio edit is actually called "have I been a cunt (yes)"
find the youtube video of the floods at Truck, which is backed with a truly fuckin epic Goldrush tune? does any one know the one I mean?
i was of course referring to dsfar-face
I have never lived in Nottingham!!!!!!!!!
and if you notice, i stated an obvious fact about lenton, then gave massive props to a great pub in nottingham - fuckin hell!
my favourite on toast
lenton is a complete shithole.
however, the happy return is the greatest pub in the world.
and muse:are shite.
they are fuckin brill.
sometimes i think theyre brilliant, other times i think it is some kitsch monstrosity. hopefully these dates will help settle it
i was in the hawley, sitting a mere metre away from gest. he was vamping on some hot chicks. srsly.
I went past it only the other day. I didnt know said curry house existed, and until I did, I always rather liked this lots name as a band name - now it seems rather laaaaaaame
beat city is a killer tune. and despite that chick being 16ft tall, id still love to take her to the bone yard.
i have bumped into steve adams twice in london's swining suburb of N19. he is a nice chap.
who number their eps
how did you neglect to link to the episode of peep show tht the lead singer is in?
ive just noticed. shes aiiight tho.
fucking hell, i remember when it were all fields round here
mcgee = nathan barley uncle
this single is the weakest song ive ever heard of theirs. they have a number of songs better than this, notably the other side of this double A. still, nice to hear a tiddly band such as these on wiley's cretinous show today
not my fucking street mush, id stove you in for being a massive clunge
a tad harsh i feel, but fair dos
fuckin radio 1
is a dinlo. end of.
(i love politics)
...you would though wouldnt you.
i fucking love this band
and the devil and daniel johnston is utterly fantastic
