Really?

I thought they were fucking amazing. The new songs really impressed me, too (except for 'Let's Be Kids Again,' which I wasn't particularly keen on, if I remember rightly).

I saw Foals at Latitude...

... and Yannis mentioned this. It's disgusting.

Nevermind

It's not you. You both described 'Nightingale' in the same way, though: slow, moody and beautiful. It must be good!

Ahhh...

... thanks for that! You wouldn't happen to be theflob on the unofficial Howling Bells message board, would you? Because if you are, I just read your post. ; )

Wow...

... two news stories in two days, and a bunch of photos, but nothing on the new material. Is it really bad or something? : S

True story.

I saw your pictures the other day, and they're really nice.

^

This.

P.S.

I'm the administrator of an unofficial Howling Bells message board. If you'd like to join it, you can find it here: http://howlingbells.proboards105.com

I've never been more excited about an album

Not even In Rainbows came close to this! I love this band with a passion. You'd better be reviewing this gig! Pictures would be nice, too; Juanita has a cool new haircut. ; )

Sure are.

If I weren't gonna see them at Latitude, I'd be really pissed off about being unable to go to that.

That's what we've been saying for months. : (

Also, I really hope Dan Grech gets the production right.

Beck, too.

Less than a week now!

Howling Bells

I swear to God, I've been checking their MySpace page for updates two or three times daily since January!

True

But still...

Shit

I spelt 'offence' wrong.

Quoting Bill Hicks =

Instant forgiveness. Not that I took offense to anything that he said.

: (

I fucking loved This Et Al. R.I.P.

I thought the exact same thing...

... about 'You Belong' sounding like Streets of Rage. Love it.

I didn't realise until today...

... But I really love this song.

Awesome Band.

The new E.P. is brilliant, especially '(The Tale Of) Frosty Jackson.'

Grinderman FTW!

I'm really looking forward to Latitude; the line-up's fantastic!

A Place to Bury Strangers...

... All the way. 'To Fix the Gash In Your Head' is an incredible song.

You Simply CANNOT Argue...

... With that. Case closed.

No...

... It's just 'House of Cards.'

I Would Kill Someone...

... To see This Et Al and Future of the Left!

I'd Best Tell My Dad...

... There'll be no "High and Dry"-- before he gets his hopes up! I think it might be his favourite...

Surely...

... This is a 10?

Blessed by Phil Selway!

What an honour!

"Back to yr castle, Livingstone."

^ LMFAO! But seriously, I'm sick of hearing him talk about "working class lads belting out a tune they're passionate about." Music isn't about class, Tom, you idiot.

It's... Surprisingly Alright.

I've always hated Panic at the Disco (although a ashamedly big fan of "But It's Better If You Do"), but this is actually alright. Just don't quote me on that in a few months' time. : P

Gutted.

As much as I want to like Bat for Lashes, I just can't. "What's a Girl to Do?" was good, though.

Wow...

... I forgot this band ever existed. Says it all, really.

"You don't need...

... to be a doll with tanned legs, blonde hair, big boobs and good lips."

Nor do you need-- particularly in Adele's case-- to possess any talent whatsoever. All you need are the right connections, and an acoustic guitar. ; )

... Also, before about ten minutes ago, I'd never seen Katie Melua. Ain't she purty?

I Like It!

It's surprisingly different from what I expected it to be.

LOL!

Very true.

I'm Really Looking Forward to This!

I hope this review is more accurate than that in the NME, which was apparently 4/10.

I Love This Song...

... And I think Asobi Seksu are a brilliant band.

I Agree...

... But I don't necessarily think he's a paedophile. I think he's just insane beyond redemption.

That Joke at the End...

... Was brilliant. Even if it wasn't really a joke.

Here's Mine:

1) Fake Plastic Trees
2) Just
3) Street Spirit (Fade Out)
4) Let Down
5) Karma Police
6) Climbing Up the Walls
7) Everything in Its Right Place
8) Idioteque
9) Motion Picture Soundtrack
10) Packt Like Sardines in a Crushd Tin Box
11) Pyramid Song
12) I Might Be Wrong
13) 2 + 2 = 5 (The Lukewarm.)
14) There There. (The Boney King of Nowhere.)
15) A Wolf at the Door (It Girl. Rag Doll.)

I really wanted to include "Exit Music (For a Film)"-- amongst others-- but, alas, narrowing Radiohead's entire EMI career down to a mere 15 tracks is very difficult indeed.

As has already been said, in reality, it'll almost certainly be a singles compilation. How sad. But, hey, it'll introduce a lot of people to Radiohead, so it's not all *that* bad.

Great Feature!

I love "Kriss Kross"-- it's one of the best songs I've heard in a long time. I'm really looking forward to "Red" now.

Hmm...

... I'm not too sure. I've only listened to this album once, but right now I'm thinking 5 or 6 out of 10. I don't think there's enough variety to warrant a 9; it seems to me that by the time you've gotten half-way through the album, you've heard everything it has to offer. On this evidence, I wouldn't put Sons and Daughters in the same bracket as Howling Bells or The Long Blondes (especially the former, who're one of my favourite bands-- their debut is class). I'll give them a bit more time, though.

Great Song

Futureheads ftw!

Hurray for Clinic!

But why aren't they playing Liverpool? Turn-coats! ; )

God...

... I love Radiohead.

Yeah-- You Had Me Worried!

Also, I think I'll try to get to the Liverpool gig.

You Forgot Howling Bells

And Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, maybe.

I'm Offended

Just 'cause I'm working-class DOESN'T mean I love Oasis. The Enemy are embarassing.

Agreed.

I didn't like it on first listen, but it's grown on me since. Awesome band.

Go, Radiohead! Go!

Also, it's good to see Future of the Left in the top 25.
