DRUMS
It seems like for every Mars Volta album they have a new drummer that never fail to impress. My favorite drumming by far is on "Deloused...". Schizophrenic, fast, slow, epic, hardcore,...fabulous.
Where's the variety?
Though I absolutely love some of the albums on this list I'm left wondering where all the hip hop is. The Roots' "Rising Down", P.O.S.' "Never Better", and Atmosphere's "When Life Gives you Lemons..." to say a few made quite a mark on 2008.
We all have our own tastes I guess.

"Mistaken for Strangers" is easily my favorite track on "Boxer". What about you all?
