lovely groove and pace to it all. it feels very composed and un fussed. lovely indeed
Great WOrk reviewing the support
something that really annoys me is when reviewers dont get there for the support or bother wrting it up but will go check D.M. Smith out now, particularly when they are hand picked well written too good work
Thank you very much everyone

The master and the magarita
is a work of genius by the by
good good
do you what we all need now, more flippant comments from smug bastards who dont realise the scale of the mess we are in.... i am starting to lose faith in humanity and its ability to save itself... its a touch depressing to be honest
a.rock bottom
i can smell it
ps....
why does everything portishead, massive attack or tricky do have to constantly be compared to their own previous and each others previous output, is not the point of wonderful bands that they make music that consistently denies comparison?
jonny rat...
"BUH TSH
DER-NER-NER-NER-NER-NER-NER-NER

ANYONE...
CAN PLAY GUITAR!!!!! on a best of!!!! surely this is ludicrous, obviously this is a typical radiohead fan indignation response and i dont like being cliched but fuck me!!! silly silly silly
please someone to clear up....
the conor oberst conundrum... regardless will be trying to go and pissing myself a little bit... but yes anyone who can help....
im not sure...
this was a particularly good article, surely pointing out that muse are good musicians as if it is a "supermassive" revelation (pun pun) is a little slow...
regardless of whether you like or dislike muse their ability is unquestionable, i am sure some people just wish they would do something else with it.
five word summary:
silly article stained by bias
i have to disagree
i personally thoght the cold war kids album was wonderful, the vocals were impassioned and delicate in places, lovely disjointed melodies and hooks and a keep it simple attittude to writing fantastic songs without compromisisig integrity, a thoroughly enjoyable album overall
i think...
i might be in lovewih david shrigley a bit... favourite so far has to be

Carl Barat is a talentless woman!
Personally I feel the various people who have taken such offence to something remarkably trivial are absurd.
DiS are hardly witch doctors who are going to bring about the man's death with a headline to a news story; however something that might bring about his death therefore he only has himself to blame.
Technically the joke would never have worked had it not been a possible that he could die, band that is his fault.
toffenose your defense of the man is spectacular however you must admit that there are a good many singers in bands of great repute who have not allowed themselves to get into the position that Pete has and many others who have got themselves out of it without the various levels of depravity his efforts to stay in the press have reached such as the blood incident the paintings and the staged photos.
the fact that he made one good album does not excuse his lack of self or social respect and the whole point of satire (in my opinion the most relevant form of contempory comedy) is to exploit these peoples failings and to draw comedy from them otherwise I should spend all morning crying in my cornflakes over the fact that David Cameron does only ride to Westminster once a week and no one has noticed!
Sorry I hate punctuation.
Good night x
Oh and if you like George bush toffeenose go here www.thesmokehammer.com
Although as he is internationally funny I am sure this will not offend you at all.
oh and change it back

i was at this gig and on a very personal level i honestly found chikinki repulisve. i am not saying thay are. i am saying i found them so. i will atack no one for their opinions and do not write this to sway anyone to change their opinions.
my criticism is that i have seen bands play with broken equipment and still enjoyed the gig. how many local bands equipment share every night in the country.
chikinki are a touring band, nay a band alone and therefore are opening themselves open to be evaluate on their performance. i thought that the whole display was tawdry and lacklustre.
a year ago i saw an electornica artist called benni woo play a gig at the joiners. anyone who understands electronica will know that without a laptop you will struggle. his was broken. he proceeded to put on his cd player through the p.a and free style rap and sing over whatever came on and it was fucking brilliant at times he just let songs play and smoked but he was entertaining. equipment failure or loss is no excuse for not being entertaining.
thomas tantrum were very good, she can sing insanely well and quite uniquely which is wholly refreshing in a musical climate which seems solely orientated around pastiche.
volume were good but at times i felt like they were excluding first time listeners with the lack of hooks and awkawrd time signatures. having spoken to a member of said band recently (lovely chap by the way) i have come to known that this is their sound and in their defence they are highly skilled highly practised musicians personally as a listener i am more inclined towards other genres and song writing techniques so i thought that their new song was their best as it allowed ne to lose myself in it and i could feel a better flow to it.
with regards to reviewers not reviewing a band on a night they were at.
they do not have to, like performing in certain venues or watching certaining things is a n option so is reviewing no band is owed a review ever you must either earn it on the back of your perfomance or rely on the reviewer deciding to do so.
the writers on this website are not paid and review on their own time while they work or study.
i can appreciate the frustration of certain members of this thread for the lack of a review however maybe you should realise that as one of you said you had trusted but never commented on this website before.
some might say according to your logic that your lack of involvement was not fair to the writers or the bands as you should have given some sort of feedback because you had been involed.
but maybe i am just being pedantic
Daniel
