Ah dEUS
one of my Top 3 bands of all time
And Instant Street should definately be in there ^^
Not really traffic related but..
Reading 99 we drove down from East Yorkshire on the Thurday at 6pm we were going to camp in Luton then set off to get to Reading at 6am on the Friday (we had done this the previous 2 years with no problem)
Anyway we got all the way down to Luton for 9.30ish, pitched out tent and went to the pub - we sat around talking for the next 2 hours then headed back to the our tent, on the way back i casually mentioned where abouts in the car our driver had hidden our tickets?
Dozy bastard had left them on his kitchen table!!!
We had to drive all the way back to East Yorkshire then turn straight round and head back straight down to Reading.
Total nightmare
Rick Rubin
or a man who looked exactly like him was sat on the side of The Park Satge at Glasto watching White Denim
I took his picture to impress my indie friends!!
This sites quite good for the weather

As long as it's dry when i'm actually putting my tent up i'll be happy
I was there
on Thursday, it was my 28th birthday and my girlfriend bought me a ticket as a present.
I thought they were fucking excellent, never a 3/10.
That is all.
Ladies & Gentlemen
is definatly the best of the fucked up druggy albums of all time.
I listened to it the other day and its smack city central.
My favourite drug is love xx
^^^
*album
When is the albim out anyone know?
The EP/Mini album is one of my highlights of the year
Great
interview btw
And me. There
performance in the afternoon at Reading in 98 is still in my Top 3 gigs of all time. They came on after i'd just nearly fallen to sleep watching Campag Velocet. Brilliant, brilliant gig.
Love this band.
I read
The Rum Diary at Xmas and i would heartily recommend that
the last line should read
'Nathan Barley' and 'fame'. Damn my lack of editing skills!
I'm going to see them at Brixton on
the Saturday and i'm really looking forward to it. Being a backward Yorkshire lad i've never been to Brixton Academy before (i've been down to London for gigs but never there) whats the Academy like? And also if you follow the link to the photos above and go to the right hand side between the two pillars - is that Julian Barrett of Mighty Boosh/Natahn Barley fam in the green check shirt?
Last Days is
fucking gash. Michael Pitt is an excellent actor though - Bully, as someone mentioned earlier, is superb. Although why Larry Clark (the director of Bully/Kids/ Ken Park) fills his films with underage kids fucking only he knows. Mucky pup!
I really, really, really
want them to bring out a Techno album. The techno/dancey stuff they go into when they jam at the end of gigs is bloody brilliant. I'm sure i read somewhere once, they said they would one day record an album of techno. Or maybe i just dreamt it.
Cay were
brilliant. Neurons Like Brandy was a brilliant song. Indie Fact #1 - Cay stands for Cool As You
I've got a funny
feeling the headliner will be The Shins. I am correct?
Your right about MTV2,
before it became NME's bitch, and they used to have viewers choose on all the time, my friends and i used to discover loads of new bands on there. Ahhh the good old days
I'm not ashamed to admit
i like Terris - a great lost band. Saying that i also liked Warm Jets - 'I'll get me coat'
I love the Pixies i
only hope they don't ruin their legacy by putting out a load of old dog shit (white dog shit if you will), although saying that the new Lemonheads album is excellent and has only made me like them more. Basically they should, and will be judged on the material they release.
Myspace or by word
of mouth at gigs etc... i just came on to this topic to read what everyone else had put and there i was confronted with Terris at the top of the article, i haven't heard of them for fucking ages, i will have to listen to Fabricated Lunacy when i get home. Whatever happened to them?
I actually went to see them
on Saturday in Hull (dragged along by my girlfriend and her work chums), i can quite honestly say the highlight of my night was standing next to a chav trying to piss into an empty bottle of Heineken when all he had to do was walk 20 bloody yards to the toilet. Good old Hull!
I agree with Lyle
they remind me of the mid 90's (in a good way) aswell, this is no Lust In The Movies but it's better than Girls Aloud's latest single - and thats a good yardstick to be measured by in anyones eyes!
Loud music makes you deaf.....
no shit Sherlock. I'd love to be one of those scientists who get massive grants for doing sweet fuck all, how much milk does it take before your cornflakes go soggy, why does toast always land butter side down etc?
I'll bet anybody
a tenner that this album has at least 3 'introspective' acoustic songs on it. Oh, and they'll be shite.
God i hate Q but
does anyone remember back in the day when Snow Patrol weren't that bad? 100 Things You've done In Bed and Starfighter Pilot, were good poppy punk songs, now snow Patrol make me want to vomit up my own pelvis!
Leeds was
excellent. Evan Dando has got the most natural (its not at all forced) voice i've ever heard live.

I got tickets for the York Fibbers gig
especially to see them. After watching 2 shite support bands i went and asked the merch guy when Let's Wrestle would be on.
His response was; 'They've been booted off the tour because they're unprofessional idiots'
I didn't stay for Bromheads Jacket because they're shit
