Manics at Tennents Vital '07
Only got to see clips of this on the internet but it still looked flippin' fantastic! Plenty of energy from the lads as always!
Manics cover of Umbrella
I love it! Think it's amazing!
Re : Manic Street Preachers Discography Review
I've listened to Know Your Enemy loads of times and will continue to listen to it! Great record in my book if not their best. This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours was the album that made me a fan so it was the start of my Manics journey, not when things 'went wrong' (has anything gone wrong? Hadn't noticed!). Lifeblood is just absolutely beautiful. All of the Manics records are special to me in their different ways. Looking forward to the new one in 2009!
Re : Manics Greatest Hits Tour
I was at the gig at Nottingham Arena in 2002 and it was my first ever Manics gig. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought the band gave a great performance. I sent my review of it to the now sadly defunct Terrible Beauty Fanzine and was chuffed to find out they actually printed it! JDB is my music hero and he was on great form that night!
Re : Forever Delayed Rant
I love all of the Manics records and disagree with the 'bland' comments that seem to get said about their post '96 records. I think you just have to be able to embrace different kinds of music. Some people can't seem to handle the fact that a band that came up with a song like 'Faster' is also capable of producing beautiful, soaring records such as If You Tolerate This... and Solitude Sometimes Is. Listening to Lifeblood as I type this!

Albums of 2008
British Sea Power's Do You Like Rock Music? and REM's Accelerate were two of my faves from this year!
