I'm off to this

It's gonna be friggin ace.

Hurray!

Brum.

this is a real shame

He mixed my two fave Green day lps and obviously produced the best Sparta lp. He seemed a bit of an all round dude.

I love this band

bu the LP really is disappointing. It starts off bright but ends up quite boring. Sadly.

Har har captain

This dirty pirate has every intention of buying it anyway.

Can't bloody wait.

But it's catchy...

I am afraid

Stunt Car Racer

Man that takes me back. How hard was that game! Don't forget 'Another world' and 'Flash Back'.....

Nice one Ben

Good review, exactly what i thought about the lp. Although i would have thrown in more references to bland and the cringe factor. Still a 7, and great in places!

The Album...

is pretty good. I was expecting a load of rubbish like the last one, but it's good. Reminds me alot of mechanical animals only more guitar driven.

Seachange seek capital success

Brilliant band Seachange, i hope they release something soon! I might have time of work for these gigs and travel

Wilson phones charitable fans

a kind hearted one.....

Break up? Garbage! Manson dismisses rumours

They've never matched that debut record for me......

Demo Nirvana: 22-track compilation due

whats the point in this release? Iknow i'll be getting mp3s of the 3 i havent heard, i aint paying twice.

Reuben - Very Fast Very Dangerous

I saw them live in Brum the other week and the new material just just doesnt stand up as well the first lp. It's a fair effort tho but Disappointing. Hope they start writing more material again :P

This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best British Song'

i actually like The Beatles. Guess they're not quite as cool to list as say Bloc Party or some obscure side project of mike patton though if you're a hipster.

Distophia get Hard-Fi on yo' ass

Whoop Whoop for Distophia!

The Warlocks - Surgery

It's an excellent album this. well worth taking a risk on. I'd always turned a blind eye to them until i heard it.
Very Jesus & Mary Chain, i think i ought to go through their previous material!

The Night The Reindeer Died: Bloc Party and Kaisers to get festive?

Next Dis will have it's own record label and adverts for hmv on the site. ;)

The Industry is fickle, and different writers have different opinions you'll find. I don't really care about any of this, im off. haha

And What Will Be Left Of Them? - Hi Fi Low Life

haha whatever.... :P

The Cribs: new single, summer tour

I love the cribs. Both lps are fun, summer rock. Both are great, the 2nd is slightly better only cus the production is great, and it has some killer singles on there.

Good lads, cu in Brum!

The Rolling Stones ready 'Neo-con'

They'll be missed when they're gone.....

The Posies tour, release single...

Jesus why does every great band avoid Birmingham, it's got a nice canal and everything. Fuckers.....

Bloody love The Posies too :'(

REDJETSON: Free show tonight + more

i saw these with Youth movie soundtrack strategies (think thats the right order of words) and wasn't overly impressed. This is going back a fair while, maybe theyr a better band now.

New deal for New York Dolls

Someone will buy it, roadrunner only sign money spinners....

Autolux - Future Perfect

Wheres Loop when you need em? ;)

EXCLUSIVE: JJ72 New Single + Video

I used to be quite partial to them until they made that second lp. Not that keen on this new track either.

Did they ever reveil why they were called JJ72?

Ah well, someone must still like em ;)

Poncing around in Derby

The Little Explorer! yes yes yes, shame i dont live in derby, no no no!

The International Karate Plus - Nexus In A Chain Of Thought

I loved mohos, i liked the ep, ithink this is a must. Ive ordered it.

A Month in Records: June 2005

I'd go to church if he was :)

Calling all unsigned bands...the Sirkus needs you!

The only people there will be the bands themselves, it's like when Edwards in brum did their all dayer thing, my mates band played and i went with them, take photos etc, and it was just a massive money making excersise for the venue to get young kids to 'pay to play' then patronise them cus they werent old enough to buy beer.

Avenged Sevenfold - City Of Evil

The artwork sums up the music really, crap.

Black Mountain - Black Mountain

Been meaning to buy this album for ages, teletext have been harping on about it since it came out....

Team Sleep

I saw them in wolves, the sound was alright, wasnt that clear at times but it was a great gig.

More music, less crime - the Lords get logical

If they do think that live music cuts crime, they wont mind when *Another* live venue gets a kick in the bollocks and threats of closure, perking up some money to keep us from turning to crime eh?

It's a nice thought. However I do like climbing through ppls windows with my walkman on, tea leafing. ;)

Re: The Cribs - Mirror Kissers

which is nice :)

The albums a cracker, the live disc is ace too. They're my fave band at the moment, their pop is so infectious!

Re: Gonna stay young forever? The Subways reckon s

I was a bit harsh to be fair, i'm an old weezer fan tho, ican't listen past Pinkerton, although some of those demos that they put on their site a few years back were wicked, 'hey domingo' was one of them, that was brilliant. :)

Neils Children - “Things are going well at the moment, we just want to make them go better…”

They're not pathetic at all, some people are just JUMPED UP on this board, right?

Gonna stay young forever? The Subways reckon so...

i saw a video on mtv once and it was the most generic thing id ever seen, makes sense that they're supporting Weezer in Brum tonite.

The Little Expolorer goes exploring (i.e. they tour)...

fuckers! Excuse my bad mouth! Nearer Brum and i'd be jumping for joy!

Re: The Vichy Government - Carrion Camping

it's a run thru art history meets war. The Lp is really fucking good. I love it!

The Cribs - The New Fellas

I know what they are mate. I think you're just being a pompous prick for no reason. forget it, i'm gonna go swig me bottle off buckie and hang out by the chip shop.....

The Cribs - The New Fellas

It's a brilliant album 'the new fellas', can't stop playing my illegal downloads, being playing for weeks naughty naughty, but i'm getting this (with the bonus live disc) as soon as it comes out. It's a ace pop record!

Ross named most important radio personality

I just wish all these other Music/radio presenters had a keen interest in music.

Screaming Tarts release compilation record

i still like rachel stamp and i dont wear make up, hurt myself or nail wear polish, hows about that!

The Cribs - Mirror Kissers

I love this single, The Cribs are great. I bloody hate Kaiser Chiefs tho, so i'm at odds here. It's sucha catchy piece of pop 'mirror kisses'. They do remind me a bit of Pavement, but its more mixed with bits of Dinosaur Jr and maybe Kinks.

Bob Mould: new album details and one-off London show announced

it has been leaked cus i've seen it floating around. What did he say?

The Murder of The Murder of

great news!

Masks that look like skulls? Knot allowed in Greece!

Bloody do gooders, let the kids see their show, im sure they said the same stuff about Alice Cooper when he were a young un.

Neils Children - Always The Same

Great band, shame i couldnt see them play last night.
I'll be buying this upon release i should think!

Oxes tour in June

I'm tempted with Brum, imissed them the last time they played in moseley.
