What you did not comment on was the time of the bands. The last band usual finished at 4am+every night which is pretty late compared to british festivals. You had to stay really as the walk back to the city was a bit too far and the tube opened at 5am. Buses were too few. Considering the position by the sea the sound was pretty dawn good all throughout. A bit of a problem with the sound crossing over between the Friday Project, Estrella Damm stage and the one at the top. I remember Wilco and Dirty Three commenting on it.
I do not know what you were doing on your little island, it was only a brief effort/wait to get to the front of any of the stages and once you had the annoying beer vouchers the Estrella was flowing in a jiffy! The place did feel a bit concrete but a good time was had by all involved! By the end of it I did feel like the living dead though...and then back to Barca centre for the Sunday night.....
