It's simple...
Daniel Johnson is the prime example of talent over competence. He writes some shit stuff at times and can sound terrible but then delivers a line like "hold me like a mother should." Sometimes it's not about being the best singer or the greatest guitar player but about whats in your heart that's important. Sometimes I can't listen, But sometimes he makes me cry.

Paul Leary is now playing all gigs. This leaves only Kathleen The nude dancer out of the classis line up. We want TA DA the Shit Lady!

Your a fan then?
SLOW
Just Recently Saw Earth at University of Northumbria in Newcastle where they basically played most of this album live. The title track was amazing and totally hypnotic. It must be really odd having to keep time as slowly as Earth's drummer had too, She could have had a cup of tea between beats. Great stuff.
A Great Record
This album has been much maligned for years but I've always loved it. Even the Buttholes themselves generally seem to dislike it. Many cite this as the beginning of the end but I disagree (that was the success of Pepper turning them into some kind of Beck copy band) And P.S.Y. is a classic. Widowermaker is a worthy addition to the CD too. Its a shame the limited edition Hurdy Gurdy Man remixes that came with the original album aren't available as well. I saw them at reading and it's still the best gig I've been too. I Hope the Buttholes will do another album soon that's worthy of their back catalog. I'm also hoping for another Humpty Dumpty LSD type compilation as theres plenty more great rarities out there (Peel Sessions, Boiled Dove, Flame Grape, etc.) so I hope this re-release gives one of the wildest bands of all time a kick up the bum and gets them doing what we know they can. I love em!

Just seen him tonight and his guitar was knacked, His band were great, I missed his encore because I was taking A leek when he did a 30 second version of "True love..." and came back to see him running off but it was still great.Daniel looked like he was having fun and it was very special.
