It's AMAZING.
I love it so.
Oh... HIYA
Oran Mor for me, looking forward to that immensely, the gig at Nice n Sleazy's a few weeks ago was fantastic
Laugh all you like, but Mika was fantastic. So there.
Even if I had to stand through the inane bilge that was Paloma Faith in between the wonderful St Vincent and Mika.
Nothing else to add that hasn't already been mentioned by anyone else, really, apart from the fact that Patrick Wolf was also excellent, although could have done out without that Rowdy Superstar guy.
Oh and I was really bored by Doves, wish I'd gone and seen Passion Pit instead
That's rather rubbish that they're only playing in London, I was looking forward to seeing them
Although the Coronet is a nice wee venue, saw Chrome Hoof doing some odd ritual thing there a couple of months ago
Couldn't justify travelling all the way down to London for Decemberists though, especially not midweek :(
And where's Stillness is the Move?
How could that NOT be there?
Or was it not officially released as a single?
Make sure you're there early enough to see The Second Hand Marching Band!
We may well be on first, and we don't want to play to an empty room...
b)
Robert Wadlow
That guy dressed as the Master Chief in 39 is hilarious
I mean, that's dedication
Aww, I was hoping for someone more interesting than this...
Oh well. I suppose anything was going to pale in comparison to Joanna...
Well I for one liked the review
Yes, it was a bit biased, but is that really that important?
Okay, I realise that it is quite important for a review, but I think it's a good piece of writing if not a great 'review' per se
And maybe I'm biased as I also think it's a great album
I'd give it more of a 7 or an 8
I really like it, yes it's a bit too deadpan at times, but very good
Although I bought it in Avalanche in Glasgow in November...
Yeah, I'd agree
for the same reason
I'm suddenly getting more ads than usual
I've been listening to Mogwai, and have been getting one after each of the last three tracks.
Admittedly, the songs have all been at least 12 mins long, but still!
They recently got
Franz Ferdinand, Antony and the Johnsons and Andrew Bird on not long after they came out, about a week I think
I saw them in Glasgow
and I liked the cover of Teen Spirit, but they also did a cover of Franz Ferdinand's Take Me Out as the second last song, and that was fantastic, although I think they should have just ended on that and not bothered with both.

^^^
Agreed, although thus far they've never gone above the border...grr
Did anyone hear them a few years ago before they went all Jesus and Mary Chain?
They used to be really lively 50s style rock n' roll, twas fantastic!
Don't like this stuff as much at all...
Eh?
No it wasn't!
Well it might have been, but it was slipknot too...
The way the wind blows
is really good, although I don't know THAT much else of their stuff
I saw them supporting Portishead a while back and they were incredibly good musicians, they really won over the crowd!
Nope
That's not right
He's playing Scotland.
HE IS!
Or at least, he'd better....
Tisn't wonderful
I mean Paolo Nutini?
Come on...
I agree
Russel Howard is wonderful, and by sidekick bloke you mean Jon Richardson?
hehe

No
It's clearly not.
