not a good song, but...

The album is a lot more fun than this single, I have to say. I don't listen to commercial radio, but pop justice were raving about the album so i gave it a whirl. for me, this is the weakest song (I hate the vocals), but valerie with amy winehouse and the just cover are good. He even almost makes lily allen, kaiser chiefs and kasabian listenable to. the only way to do that is to take away the original tun and stick some horns over the top.

totally agree...

The support were appalling, I can't understand why they were chosen.
But, yes it was a brilliant show, I was really enjoying that crescendo, eyes closed getting bombarded by the noise (perhaps I stood a bit too close to the speakers), and it was the smell and chatter that made me open my eyes. And then to finish the show on a rather shitty wee Fender practice amp was a brilliant move (which perhaps annoyed the sound crew alot).
Excellent, but as stated shame about the support.

several months on

and this album is still sounding good to me. It loses a slight amount of track in the middle, but i think that's because of the 'movement' type factor of it (i.e. each track representing part of the story); and the last few tracks are brilliantly heavy.

also - i think they're a lot better than Pelican.

Isn't...

'March into the Sea' the name of a Pelican song?
Not that you'd get them mixed up...
