Mp3s are compressed tracks off a cd. Im sure at itunes they pay some bloke to rip promos then idiots pay for them online. Id rather get the lossy files via a fielsharer, play them, find the lps shit/great, then go to the shop/supermarket/internet shop and buy the damn thing. I can rip it into other file formats or just play it, do what i want.

Mp3 filesharing will never go away, its actually got more widespread over the last few years.
The offical download charts are massively popular too.

The Bravery are more pastiche retro than the Killers. Least the Killers chose not to totally just sit back and decide they had 12 months shelflife. I arent really a fan of either, but can see Bravery have not much to offer, their album says that?

I just really really like them. I heard the lp promo at work and asked for a copy which grew on me so much.
They're alot better than people make out. Auteurs, yes there are shades for sure, also Jesus ands Mary Chain (latter era) and some other Uk groups around that time.
I like the fact theyr not doing exactly what everyone else is doing, and theyr writing interesting/great songs.

Not all with agree with that but there are some really bad bad groups at the moment being championed whilst Ambulance ltd dont get a look in.

i havent listened to oasis since i fainted at the sound of be here now. Look at Liam and noel, they have a damn sight more Integrity than the 5min fame bands of today anyway.
Slag em off, whatever. They dont care, they actually charted some great singles in their day and continue to make music cus they have a loyal fanbase, which bands like Franz, razorshite and alike wont have ten years on.

Great band, if they tour im there. They must be my fave band at the moment.

I'm glad coldplay are coming back, it will plug the Hole the industry has been trying to fill with bands like Embrace.

Boring as they are now, it might cull off a few of the jokers, looking for come backs or a quick buck.

watch the dvd that acompanies it and it seems to make sense. Ithink it's pushed them into a whole new field of opposition. It's grand and worth sticking with cus it repays you with hours of delight!
I first saw them in 2000 supporting foos in brum accademy. Id already got a few bits and bobs before then, but seeing that and following them ever since to now, makes me think they really are pushing forward. They arent so punk now iknow, more Beatles inspired than ever, that in my eyes is a great thing. Iknow alot of you rock n rollers will differ.

Those bsides already came out before the lp on the 'worlds apart' single. Theyr alright, not too impressed with them, Buckley's lofi back in NYC is better ithink. Why no Brum, boo! Maybe i'll travel!

Amazing what a change of name makes for a bands career.

'i dont care' is a very (pre) britpoppy tune, what year was this album put out? Something daft like 1992? Really worth looking into, for the songwriting and Edwyns crisp warm production.

'I Am The Greatest' By A-House is a brilliant album yes! Production is sweet as, Collins is a wizard. A brain haemorrhage is something really serious tho, i just hope he's stable and not in too much pain the poor chap.x

I tried to get an interview for my fanzine and it was a dead end to be honest. I didnt want this to be, i actually like them and their album, but their attitude towards their fans is the same towards their haters ( from what i can see)

They're not as good as they think they are. They were amazing and they let it slip away.

there are some good bands coming out now under the huge torrent of wannabe hairstlyes, The Go! team ithink are great. I hope seafood learn how to use their distortion pedals again, it would be a shame to see them go too.

Whats happening, the wolrds melting, 2005 appears and its shut down.

Dominic Young was a fine drummer with ikara colt, especially in the early days when they art rocked alot more. I cant see lot more for them now. If they had a Mark E Smith fronting them i could see further than drummers, but they were a great band. A Great Group.
What next?

Its a great release for £3.99 and with profits going to charity, why fucking moan, least theres 23 tracks to choose from instead of 1 rubbish 'cover'.

Yes the live show aint the best quality,( ever heard a gbv lp?) but in a years time ppl will be saying , 'sheeeewoozer' i wish i bought that. Or to some effects that phrase.

ive gotta ask why buy this box set? Its the uk albums minus valuable lp tracks and replacing them with the singles that the US fans got. We all have the singles anyway on number ones, losing tracks like 'what you're doing' is criminal.
I nearly fell for it to be fair. Brilliant content ( as a major beatles fan) but you'd be better off buying the albums on their own.

The Matchbox are way too good and actually genuinely 'cool' to fold now. I'm sure smaller labels would be willing to snap em up. I always think Fierce Panda for some stop gap releases when bands get dropped.

Least they'll be free of those big boy shackles.
