on a related note

I bought the new Bloc Party album in Tesco for less than seven quid this morning. I feel WELL guilty.

Not bad album, though!

Naah.

Truck and/or ATP and/or Leeds for me next year.

I really loved 'The Back Room'...

...for about six months and I haven't really listened to it much since, really. They're still a fuckload better than most indie bands to make the top ten these days though!

Lovely live and all.

I feel silly

for only knowing Bis because of The Powerpuff Girls... *internets*

Data Panik were great though!

Great song

Video's a bit odd though!

Well, not quite

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/schedule/sept06.shtml

Lamauq's only on one hour a week? Colin Murray had better make a good job of this new show of his.

He's still doing the Lock Up

but I think it's on Monday night at two in the morning...

*checks*

And I thought DiScover was going so well

Enter Shikari are rather gash in my opinion...

Number one in the hood, G

To think I strolled through thier set

not knowing it was thier last (at Leeds).

I loved 'The Lost Riots', mind.

My mates had some stuff stolen at Leeds

...stuff like a phone and twenty quid. I was fucking worried because I was asleep in a mate's tent (mine was completely fucked after the rain; never buy from Poundstrecher) and in an inspired moment of twattery just laid my camera (which I had about 500 photos and hours of footage from the weekend stored on it) and phone and wallet out next to me. If I was in my own tent where I had an empty bag and some wellies stolen then fuck knows what would have happened.

We didn't let it spoil our weekend, though; you just have to be fucking careful.

I really hope Ben can get his equipment back. If I lost my camera I would have been absolutely distraught, and the photos are mostly fuzzy as fuck or video footage with shitty sound...

Isn't it also on at 8

or something? Eeh, can't remember...

The show tonight was bloody fantastic. Needs more promotion!

Me four.

It's on MTV2 on an hourly basis and I'm not sick of it AT ALL. Which is an achievement and a half.

Because the NME said so.

FEEL THE PRAGMATICS

Wasn't that on MTV2?

The one programme they didn't sodding repeat 98983938 times.

*wikipediaises*

Naah. Ah well. Both good songs, because they're the SAME. Editors has a stronger chorus, possibly?

Never mind that many, many bands about now may as well plagarise the early 1980s...

Ecky thump

Is New Rhodes' song from 2001 though?

Twenty MINUTES.

Get it right, Brandon.

I'm afraid

that I can't take Slayer seriously thanks to Bill Bailey...

Yes, the lineup's getting lovely now.

I am excited...

...now if I could get a fucking ticket (seetickets - GET BETTER SERVERS)

Probably refused

or Domino want to showcase everyone else.

Yay for L. Wells on there, and the old £3 business!

I wouldn't put it as strongly as that

but aye. I'm personally hoping that all major labels all end up being fucked over by downloading and things.

I hope nobody goes all EFF and Slashdot and say it wasn't illegal becuse of MY RIGHTS OMG I HATE DRM LOLZ or something like that.

Thank goodness I like in lovely Lincolnshire.

They're playing Leeds, eh?

That alone will be worth the admission fee.

Well.

Yep, they're ace.

Did BiS

do some kind of theme tune for the Powerpuff Girls?

Welp!

There's another pop show down the pan

=D

Yay, something to look forward to tonight after I get slapped for not doing at least two pieces of coursework!

sounds better

it isn't wishy washy like last weeks! Hurrah!

muse muse muse

would be rather lovely

ooh

I thought thier new single was brilliant, odd video though. Apart from that I've only heard 'Get Over It' due to it's ad neuseum playing on the usual channels two years ago

The Guardian's lovely

because it prints the perry bible fellowship (www.thepbf.com) and has Alex Kapranos talking bollocks about stuff. Oh, and I'm a sucker for big colourful diagrams

then you'd like the indie on sunday review

of the album: two and a half stars. Although - completely got the wrong end of the stick; i.e. I don't reckon that Alex Turner is an internet genius who planned all this...

i'm sure that you could be in art school

and enjoy this.

Love this song.

None of those sold over 50,000?

Bloody Americans.

My iPod mini died...

that said I dropped it several feet. Apple did replace it for free, though, and rather quickly as well. Hurrah

yes yes yes

Fever To Tell still packs a punch today. Looking forward to it, they've taken thier time, which may be a great thing

Oh deary me

At least Beck has lovely videos.

I say

Lovely. The B-sides I've got are as good as the album tracks, so this might be rather ace...

Yep.

"No you didn't! No you did!"

Ooh, month delay.

Can we have a Fopp

in Scunthorpe?

Thought not :'(

i agree

Video's a damn sight good, isn't it? Best single to date, the album will be brilliant even when you get the Green Day hoodie wearing chav cunt masses singing along to them as well.

...

Couldn't hurt?

I say

YES (to both)

Oh dear

It's times like this that I think myself lucky that I can barely recieve Radio 1 and nothing else...

Great use of the word 'cunting'.

....

viva la 1998! Or something like that.

Must be rather nasty to be clawing your way back into the music businees in full view (well...) of the public.

Eh.

yeah...

We shall see what this one'll be like. Preferred 'make up the breakdown' meself

stephen fretwell

is from Scunthorpe, isn't he? Coming from there I really don't blame him for denying (if he ever has) this fact, even if my local indie record place happily overstocks his singles.

Hmm...

You seem to have forgotten that this was released back in July time and ended up at number 160. It was on MTV2's '120 Minutes' for bloody ages before Christmas.

Lovely song that sadly may get overplayed to my liking...
