you can take your stolen Bill Hicks philosophy and pick randomly then, maybe you'll be lucky and get the party that has rolled back civil, gay and women's rights for the last 8 years!
i was expecting it on DiS' Nazi spin-off site.
and never made that much money anyway?
good idea not to try and mould his tangents into a conventional interview!
the show in London was incredible. he seemed completely overawed by the crowd's reaction - he mentioned how London magazines couldn't care less about them, but it's good to see this site does.
he may be referring to fanboys' dislike of her vocal appearances on Bright Flight, or that Berman spefically chose not to include songs penned by her on the new album - he had on Tanglewood Numbers.
oh and this album is wonderful in so many ways.
looks like it's inspired by William Blake illuminations.
that smacks of desperation.
get thee to MENSA.
i am so at the brighton date.
Rookie mistake ; )
that swear words aren't big or clever.
sharing crap music because they're aural masochists and lurveeee the shiver they feel when they download the latest Daphne & Celeste concept album...ooooooooh.
"Well, can't they just get another drummer?"
since opening this news story.
at late for that matter, you can't be an ex-alkie.
Sounds SOOOOOOO much like Pulp at times.
Baltimore may just be my favourite place for music lately.
a difference between being against "the promotion of homosexuality as an alternative lifestyle" and bigotry? What planet do you come from?
because we're arguing whether it's a "fetish" or inherent? That's a bizarre statement you've just made, it's like you're fighting both sides simultaneously.
that if someone is disagreeing "with the promotion of homosexuality as an alternative lifestyle", they're not going to be nice people. Staying away from tedious labelling, they're probably just wankers.
Arpeggio is just a whooshy, rising/falling sound essentially.
But it is incredible, no doubt a 9. I'm surprising myself how much indie-pop is interesting me this January!
Heimdalsgate Like a Promethean Curse is all about depression, and then there's the mention of "I felt the darkness of the black metal bands". It's just an ignorant comment, ruins an otherwise precise review.
that you need to grow out of depression in the review, but this is a 10 record in my opinion.
i'm very happy Joanna Newsom exists and makes music.
was called The Complete Guide To Insufficiency... ?
I feel like I'm going nuts.
or is this the title of a re-release?
just OWN drownedinsound these days : D
i applaud this. *applauds*
i made the list!
moved his finger during recording however and thing's can always get better but it'll take a lot of time.
Subtle are not rich musicians either and the cost of his treatment is enormous. If you like them, maybe donate a wee bit of money to the Dax Recovery Fund
really lovely, sound guy as well.
it'll suck the big one.
trying to convince ignorant music fans that they're groundbreaking pisses me off endlessly. the amount of people who like Kasabian going around saying they're revolutionary made me want to jump off a very high place.
i've got 4/1 odds his new career is very similar to this one.
The Woods on CD should be stuck up the arse anyone who disregards female rock singers. Sideways.
and i love them so much : (
really sexy website.
3 The Silver Jews
(Domino – released 2001)
4 #1 lolz.
probably one or two off the top in the Best Track League.
i think i'll buy it anyway, great review.
