You sound like the kind of guy who would namecheck Camus

whilst writing a User Review for a toaster on Amazon.

And I say this having not heard a note of this album.

If you think Rewire sounds ANYTHING like DFA or DIOYY

then it makes the rest of your review obsolete as your ears clearly don't work. For what it's worth, Lightmen is probably the worst track on the record - the very track that you've slated (Star Surfing) is probably the best, certainly in terms of the qualities you laud Lightmen for.

This is a fucking rubbish review. "I like it, it's better than the last one".

Jesus H Christ. Is it different in any way, have they moved on, comparison to the other big dance albums/acts of that period - how it fares against the second SMD album for instance? Or just write a lot of tosh about old people not liking new things?

Good choice, douche.

*is much stronger

Obviously. Durr etc

I saw them in London and I'm not quite sure I'd agree with all the sentiments made here

While they were 'good', it certainly felt as though something was lacking. Their recorded output was much stronger and in particular, the older material seemed to fall flat when the techniques employed on the newer stuff (in particular, the effect on the vocals) were also used. It just felt like they'd thrown themselves headfirst into being a 'psychedelic' band, from the kaftans and the lightshow to the way in which they played the songs. It was certainly better than I'd been led to believe by posts on the music board but, unless it was a drastically different performance in Nottingham, I can't see how they could have pulled a 9/10 out of the bag.

NIN London

Be lovely to reviewers. Bribe them if need be. Favourable reviews get you everywhere. Especially from Heat. You get a good review from Heat magazine and you're made for life.

Be fit. No one wants to see an uggo. That's why The Enemy are failing hard on the new album. Try and have a pretty lady in the band also. People are shallow and feckless. Exploit this.

Cover 'Mysterious Girl.'

Best news all year

LOVE this band, This Is My Ship was one of the best albums of 2007

A) The Past Is a Grotesque Animal

As pretentious and wanky a song title you're ever likely to hear.

Dear Bad Sneakers

Please stop organising such ace line ups IN THE MIDDLE OF FUCKING EXAMS. YOU UTTER SPONGMONKEYS.

Kthxbye

Manchester

Please, thanks kindly.

It is an early demo

by Bloc Party, which is bloody good.

Leeds would be nice.

Jesus tittyfucking Christ

Sonic Boom Six get 9/10 on DiS?

This has to be on the same levels of outrage that Jamie T getting 10/10 does, surely?

London

Why try when paid however many grand a week regardless?

Hmmm

the new recording is a bit cack isn't it? It's lost the energy and the fun!

Hahaha

Pervy student interviewers? Explain

That won't even be the best track called House of Cards on an album this year

That will go to the Coopers, it was one of the best tracks on the album

Kick Up The Fires........

>>>>>>>>>> See This Through And Leave.

New album was very hit and miss though.

Ah well, least I saw their last ever gig. What a way to go out too, it was immense.

That line up is shit

compared to the previous two years.

DFA 1979

Black History Month (Alan Braxe remix). Tune.

Hearts and Unicorns

is brilliant. This is bad news.

I thought this was

about that channel 4 band thing. Oops.
