Bristol gig is 3 days after my birthday and i'll be at uni near there then. I probably have to go.

... I've seen My Passion lots of times and can say from the heart that they're geniuses. The music isn't really worth noting (as it isn't really very good, to be perfectly honest), but they're brilliant at pushing their audiences' buttons for sure.

They regularly pack out the Green Room in Welwyn Garden City on the kids' nights. Those 12-16 year olds (mostly) teenagers just can't get enough of the incredibly over the top vocals and silly haircuts (which is the only Horrors-related point in the review, if you re-read it).

My Passion are tight live for sure, but that's got something to do with goodness-knows how many years of gigging as Shard before the name change.

I think they could well make the break through into the mainstream, but I don't know if they'll be there long...

I don't pay a huge degree of attention to My Chemical Romance's affairs. My apologies.

in Hertfordshire, near Stevenage. Not a lot happens here, but there's some nice people. And it is necessary actually, there is a little village next door simply called 'Welwyn'.

I wanted to see more of their set, but then I also wanted to see some of the Go! Team, so I left. The volume was far too loud though, yes. Thankfully they seemed to have quietened it down a bit (not much, mind) when Okkervil River were on.

Would have liked to have gone to this 100 Club gig - if I hadn't spent all my money at ATP and Built To Spill yesterday!

... hate the Hammersmith Apollo, but I think i'll be braving it for this!

Hertford gig should be chuffing brilliant. I very much plan to be there.

sorry, it probably sounded a bit harsh, what I said. I mean, they were alright I suppose, I was just bored to tears, it came across as generic jangly-current-NME-guitar pop. Really didn't do anything for me.

Other people did enjoy it though.

The Welwyn Garden City gig was fucking awesome, such a shame nobody turned up! Oh, and the crap local support band, so many better bands locally than them to play a great gig!

... The Otters are great! Will be really cool to see them and the Chalets on the same bill. Awesome stuff, i'm think you'll agree.
