I think...
...gamecat means "is anyone even left in the band anymore?"
...
The Brits are a big bag of Aids.
A fine review...
...for a fine record. This baby grabs you at "Radio Nowhere" and doesn't let go. Superb stuff!
Yes.
The video is fucking rubbish. That needed to be said twice, I feel.
...
It's just over been four years since My Vitriol ended a three year tour (in 2002) and Som Wardner put the band on hiatus.
This...
...is easily the best album Reznor's released since The Downward Spiral. It's also the closest he's come to making industrial music. The irony is, that if NIN's "new direction" proves popular, it may help the likes of Skinny Puppy, Frontline Assembly, KMFDM and Front 242 and the like shift some units from their back catalogues.
'Was Bloc Party’s A Weekend In The City any good in the first place, really?'
A Weekend In The City was patchy. The music's fantastic throughout, but Jesus, there are some Godawful lyrics on there.
SAUM
They're on permanent hiatus while Jon sits by the pool in Australia.
Disagree
This is a top tune! I'll grant you that the album isn't particularly strong, but this is a top tune!
This quote...
"positively wreaked of Burroughs, Lynch, Burgess and, eh... Camden Market"
is absolutely spot on about Outside. Spot. On.
This
is a quality single. I'm well excited for the album release.
Aren't
TLSM on Warp?
It is, isn't it...
...it's fantastic!
Yes.
In as much as "doing the D 'n B thing" is like saying Picasso occasionally used the colour blue in a couple of his paintings.
Oh yes!!!
This stuff is mint!!
Yus yus...
... but the sound overall is Tobin's.
Yes.
Yes you do. And you have know idea how badly...
I think...
... that this album is the best one that Isis has released.
Rating?
Eh?
And...
aren't best ofs aimed at getting new fans, rather than satisfying old ones?
This...
...is one of the finest music reviews I've ever read. You've completely captured everything I've ever throught about this band. Spot on!
There's also....
...the fact that some bands are great at singles, but their albums contain tons of filler. The Cult is a great example of this - the only album of their you ever need is Pure Cult as it has all their best on it, minus the rubbish.
Isn't...
...the drumming, like, the only reason to listen to The Mars Volta to begin with?
truedat
corrected.
Truedat
About Tong being rhythm in later era Verve.
And Jones being the bassist.
And McCabe being the reason the Verve were ever any good anyway.
hyuk...
hyuk! hyuk!
Not really
Stanier is a fantastic drummer, no arguments there, but it's innacurate to say he carried the entire weight of the band alone. It's not like Stanier would've come up with a couple of bog-standard session musicians. Hamilton's a great guitarist, and Bogdan is a fantastic bassist, and both of them made Helmet every bit as great as Stanier did.
It's also...
...worth pointing out that Henry Bogdan is one of the best bassists in metal EVER!
I dunno...
... what happened with this lot - I was recently listening to the demo material Page Hamilton recorded when he was fronting a band called Gandhi, and even that was better than this.
My word...
...Falco with hair! He looks like Wolverine!
I'll
go to the pub with you, Mike!
OTCC cool?
No it wasn't. It is rubbish. As is Boys Will Be Boys.
AH!
Ta for that.
Get Do Dallas
Buy Mclusky Do Dallas. Everyone should own Mclusky Do Dallas.
Well..
Too Pure's site says the expanded version is out on March 20th.
Funny thing...
...about this, is this is exactly the sort of thing Blur used to get up to when they were younger. They used to slag off other bands and start feuds all the time. Maybe they don't need the publicity as much anymore.
It's well worth it!
£11.99 for a limited edition 3-cd set? Bargain!
Concur
Top tune, this.
Really?
The kid actually said "LOL" on public transport. It's worse than I thought...
Re: Be obscent, be be obscent: Manson branches into perfume
Smells Like Manson?
Re: The Bloodhound Gang - Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo
Umm - disagree with you there. Take a listen to One Fierce Beer Coaster - The BHG showcase more musical variety on that one dsic than most bands manage in their entire careers, and it came armed with a shedload of wit. Being funny is way harder than yelling about depression or the unfairness of the world IMHO. Sure, this band is never going to be heralded as truly great - but they have far more talent that their detractors give them credit for.
But F.U.C.K. just isn't up to the standard of their best work.
Antony & The Johnsons take Mercury prize
I really think it's pathetic that several of the other nominees immediately started whining that Antony only "got nominated due to a technicality" and that he's not really British, and thus shouldn't have been elligible for the award.
This is really bad sportsmanship. If there was a problem with the lad being nominated, they should've brought it up before the award was presented. Poor show, I say!
RFTC RIP
And while you could debate this and discuss that in terms of taste and perception, and whether certain musical entities move you, one thing remains an irrefutable truth; if you don't like RFTC you can go straight to hell.

Back to Bluntdom: Your 'Beauty' Corrupted The Kids
There, there, Mike. This happens all the time. And yes, this too shall pass. :)

"although Bono's ego can be a little cringeworthy"
A little cringeworthy? That's like saying Hitler was naughty!
