any

word on stage times yet, boys and girls?

surely

they might be a few licensing issues with all of this?? Or does a sample have to be of a certain length to class as copywrite infringement or something?

nice

I believe us LED types are playing the Charlotte gig too. Ooh.

he is

indeed a lovely, lovely man, but something of a space cadet too!

But yeah, I think his word over Lydon's any day.

Eek

He's looking a little Cobain-esque there isn't he? odd.

Hurrah for Beck, anyway!

Amusement

Parks on Fire, anyone?

I have only

just read this, but I agree about the LOTP comments, sadly - I've seen them a good few times, and everytime I've left with a distinct empty feeling, wondering why on earth they're getting to such a high level. They IS something there, somewhere, but its buried beneath already-tired current-isms that are tedious and overegged. HMMMMM indeed.

I've

always had a soft spot for Autechre's catchy titles.

Perlence subrange 3 ftw!

are you

having a conversation with yourself?

ouch!

:/

Its a fair point

though,

Notts audiences are oddly stand offish, I never know why. I blame Trent uni.... :P

thats is SO

lame, they haven't even got the imagination to think up an album title??!

^

no.

Certainly

a difficult listen, but rewarding nonetheless. Great review!

And those synths at the end of Machine Gun, oh yes.....

hmm

I never thought of Kraftwerk of money-grabbing scoundrels before, most odd.

talking of

Hadouken's blog, heres what appeared yesterday - pretty LOLfull!:

"Apparently somebody has circulated a copy of our album with 30 seconds snippets of each track looped over and over. Some moronic blog writers have downloaded this version, failed to spot it’s not actually the album and written reviews of it saying that all the songs are really repetitive. These people are idiots and shouldn’t be writing about music."

Yeah

its a strange interview. I'm not fan, but I don't think Billy comes across badly at all- hes well balanced in his answers (you've got to big yourself up a little right? it is a press interview after all) and seems enthusiastic and up for some banter. No need for the snideness really, it just comes across a bit arsey on DiS' part.

Excellent!

"They're nice boobs," she says, oblivious to the fact that they're not at all"

whats up

with Tired Irie?

No Suprises

there

Ho Ha Ho!!

was this

a phone interview? somehow seems that way. Strange how you can kinda tell how some interviews were carried out.

What am I on about.

Nice interview anyway!

STEVE HOLT!

*raises arms*

that does

sound AMAZING

all those bands... in Barcelona too!

Everyone on the

planet seems to be giving this a 7

Anyway, I think this is top drawer - BUT the hiphop tracks seems well out of place... seems like they've been stuck on in order to sell it to the american market, and they just don't fit in with the flow of it. Maybe its the too 'modern' sound of the hiphop tracks, something more retro (kinda early-90s warren G sounds! Just imagine!) would have slotted in much better.

Cate Le Bon is ace too, she writes some lovely Welsh folk ditties.

^haha!!!

oh my.

Lol @

that quote about the Manics again.

"Europe's gravestone carved in plastic
P.C. she says inoculate, hallucinate, beware Shakespeare,
bring fresh air, king cigarette snuffed out by her midgets, by her midgets"

Yeah! straight to the point, man!!

They're

based in California now, not the big T!

Sorry to be pendantic...

lolz

yeah his lyrics are pretty hit and miss aren't they. More on the Miss side too...

their

new single is pretty dire. Talk about pandering to the mainstream

Is it

actually any good though?

I thought it

was by Killer Cars

ROTFL!!!>?Z"!£K

uhum.

Is that

a re-recording of the Sweat Descends, or is it the same version that appears on Inches?

I thought

it was some kind of pneumonia or something?

Anyway - hurrah for Jason! hes lovely.

and her stupid

munchkin face

^yes

Cash Car Star

is rubbish though!?

Mayonaise, however - aceness

heh

good review Dominic

I believe one of them is going out with Noel rather than "just friends" though. Not that it makes any difference, they're still naff.

heh

its a real shame bands like this have been picked up by Best Before, and flown off to japan, yadda yadda... its obviously a good label with the likes of Johnny Foreigner.

Hmmm

because

they're a bit boring?

Indeed

plus you could also argue that "maths, science and architecture" are all about beauty, truth etc etc

^yeah

I was suprised at how they came across. I really like TNP, but they just seem to want to come across as snobbish, snide little public school twits for some reason. I guess it must be post-ironic or something.

He managed

to fit all of that in a text message??

Goes to show

they should have never been so stupid as to give Robbie williams an £80mill contract or whatever in the first place.

hurrah!

3 info points for you, Dan!

George Lamb

comes off as such a twit on that video, as usual

I do hope Our Bipolar friends is on the album......

Kankles

...

Ooh

some good stuff here. JF obviously, plus the Magnetic Fields track is ace!....

really

good interview, Mike. Sounds like you got the best of out them - Indeed, they come across as rather amicable and fun don't they? Hurrah!

Love Ends Disaster!

too! :P

has

the world not noticed how boring these lot are yet?
