Bloody hell, that really gets a bit grim
I like it.
Jonsi's solo album?
wut?
DOUBLE EXCITMENT! oh yesssssssssssssssssssss :D
Oh, dear me.
So your taste hasn't evolved or changed at all from the absolute bollocks that you sent me a year ago from Club Brainlove for my subscription? I guess it's good to have it reaffirmed. Good luck etc - I'm sure there's a market out there for you somewhere.
Apologies for the negativity
but that logo is spectacularly awful! :(
Yup, yup.
I'll be having some of that, thank you.
Excellent.
I'll be up for Koko.
Great review.
Although it was a 10/10 for me. It was very, very special performance.
Sack the marketing exec who thought this up.
And then sack his manager for allowing it.
^ this
Major disappointment but you can't blame the guys.
I do hope they have a rest and get their fire back.
No London yet?
Rubbish. I really really want to see them.
Bad karma man
you don't say shit like that, because then you'll get some awfully debilitating disease that will slowly and painfully kill you over ten years.

Mars Volta!
<3<3<3<3<3
They were so great at Brixton last month. I am doubly excited now :D
Please lady
eat something fatty.
Poor guy.
A horrible way to go.
My work buddy desperately wants tickets -
if anybody has one or two spare, please be kind enough to message me. Thanks.
Excellent interview
Thanks Mike :)
I love them just a little bit more now. I've always liked their made up language anyway. Who says music has to make perfect sense anyhow?
But...
if the film IS to be believed, he chose to take all of the royalties and the money and his right to speak out, and she just walked away with his name. Basically, he sold his pride in that transaction, so it's his own damned fault if everyone will always think he's a wife beater, and he'll never get redemption.
Sorry - I have little sympathy. Musical genius, sure, but a fucking idiot nonetheless.
:(
I love their cover of Ziggy.
I don't know why he bothers
Surely the best way to deal with the NME is just to not give them ammunition by putting up a fight? Not only is he shit, but foolish too.
yes they do
but the divorce or marriage certificate was found and published all over the internet.
Siblings?
Yes - obviously he married his sister.
Pfft.
The law is an ass.
Lovely.
But what happened to the DiS podcasts? I tried to update it the other day and it seems to be stuck in May or June.
Didn't their mothers ever tell them
not to play with ouija boards? nonetheless, i still want a piece of this.
Is she likely to just play Volta?
because it's yet to grow on me :(
They can't
They simply take too many drugs to be able to keep it under control.
Which is why Death In Vegas walked out half way through producing their last (or last one before?) album. They realised getting anything productive done was fucking impossible and moved on to other projects.
They've lost it. If they ever had it in the first place, which is debatable. To me, they're just four massive whingeing eyebrows.
Vanilla Sky
particularly as it's the first time I ever heard Sigur Ros.

2. Everything In Its Right Place -- Radiohead
3. Vanilla Sky -- Paul McCartney

I wouldn't do anything
for a man who spends two hours a day trimming his beard.
Rest in peace
this is a nice interview:

I may have to go to this
they were excellent at the Royal Albert Hall in May. What's the Forum like though? Either I've never been or it's so bad that my memory has erased it.
Anyone know why
they hadn't played Paris for 10 years despite hailing from there? Do Parisians hate them?
Archie Bronson said
on departing 'we'll see you next time at a proper gig'. I guess they were quite pissed off.
The bands who played are going to be pretty irked with the negative publicity - I just hope that doesn't make it harder to get more good bands next year. As mentioned above, in paper, the festival was a brilliant idea, but in practice, the basics need to work!
I understand that it must be really difficult to put on a festival for the first time, but whoever you took advice from were either taking the piss or out to sabotage your efforts, in my opinion.
£22.50 is incredibly cheap - I'd be prepared to pay £15 more if it means a hassle-free, potentially fantastic day out, without a doubt - and it DID have the potential to be brilliant.
Good luck for next year. I definitely still intend to come, despite the teething problems.
Was I suggesting
it be inside the venue? NO. So fuck off before you judge.
At all day things
like Live Earth at Wembley, it sucks big time. I was there from 11.30am, they won't let you out of the venue at all, and it finished at 10.30pm. Even with one of those nicotine patch thingies on, I got pretty irritable. Other people I know who were there simply got more pissed. So it's possibly making venues more money and people more drunk.
With smaller venues, I think it's great. The smokers outside are sociable and you get chatting. That said, I wonder what effect it will have on support bands? In the past, probably half the time I'd turn up for the support. I'm much less likely to be inclined to do so now, in venues like Brixton, etc, where you'd stand from 7.30pm til 11pm and not be let outside.
So - yeah - I do agree wholeheartedly with the ban, but I think a bit more thought for smokers wouldn't go amiss.
The snippets of her old songs
where she sings briefly in Welsh are really good.
I love Cerys.
Why would any male
of the species who still owns a pair of bollocks, willingly get in touch with Grace Jones to ask for a favour? She's as mad as Bjork but three feet taller!
It's sad when bands
or singers get to the stage where they think they can do absolutely anything and get away with it with their adoring fans.
This is the most cuntish thing I've heard since I read about J-lo having one eyebrow technician for each eyebrow (though, different, obvs).
What harm would it have done to do a three song set?
I was going to order their back catalogue because I kinda missed having some of their stuff, but fuck 'em. They're not THAT good.
MOBO / MOJO
easily confused!
Nice article
this is a man I really really like. He's so god damn honest, it's refreshing.
I have no strong opinions on the matter either way
but pixie, I applaud your insults :)
Almost a good enough reason to buy a record player
<sigh> if only i had room in my flat :(
Agreed.
Also, what a wicked hat :)
What's with the Placebo bashing?
fucker!
Oh my god
my tummy just did a weird flip thingy. Looks like I'm going to Ireland for the first time then :)
