Nice one

He's a top bloke with excellent tunes.

good

band, i never complain about them and its ska so it has to be good.

i like

this review a lot, different style of writing to usual. i have not seen the band since 2004. I shall go next time for sure now.

Chill

5 nights in london, i would do it. I would like to say i played 5 nights in MSG or Paris as well, know what im saying?

second

Crane wife by far, The dvd in march is gonna be great too.

to be fair

this is one of the bands i would like to hear remixed so im happy.

But yeah, you know their release pattern, mid summer next year followed by a UK in winter.

wow,

They greased up the quality ladder for this one didn't they.

no doubt

were planning to release without her! could you imagine it?

transatlanticfoe

Be you the one from norwich?

I saw this guy on tv and it was fucking awful.

Oxford =

Same night as decemberists in london, pissed...OFF!

this is one of my

fave songs on the album, but as a single i get the impression its not great as a stand alone.

fucking!

Excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oooh chk chk oooh say ah ah ahhhhhhhh

finally....

'Uno'is the only blotch on the otherwise fine drowned in sound back catalogue.

due to financial issues

was it not?

!!!!?

They have.

"Paris 2004" is marketing dream though.

How can ash

not cite the foos as an influence?

Nice pop tunes

= Reason enough, but there's so much more to them too

WHAT?

they were mega at reading, it was like a fantastic house party.

erm

The holdsteady?

This album is a corker, one of the best to come out of a UK act this year.

you beat me to it.

One HIT = one hit wonder.

Best news ever

I really can't wait.

Audience participation is the way forward, Screaming at the last Dec. Gig for mariners revenge was a hoot.

Two words that slaughter this man

Final Fantasy.

>

Yann Tiersen?

Im of the opposite opinion

Live=mint, record= lacking.

But i have not heard the new record yet.

I really like this album

Consistency is in the ear of the beholder, and its much easier to get all the way through this record than the last.

2nd third and

a thousand times over,!!!! yes !!!!

This video is incredible.

-

Worse acts have released good greatest hits on two albums,

I'll probably have to get this.

2nd

Metric don't know how to write a song thats not fantastic

Final fantasy

all the way.

The Aereogramme

one sounds like an awesome show.

Don't worry

New Rave is only 6 weeks from becoming uncool to listen to.

yep

Norwich. It's gonna be a fun one.

....

I had a conversation with security that went like this.

"i think you need to radio more people in this is just ridiculous"

"can't, anyway i don't have a radio"

"what if there's a riot?"

"i dunno"

what can be blamed to the organisers

was the ridiculous 'attempt' at crowd control on the white camp side of the ferry.

No queue, no barriers, minimum security with no way of getting extra help in. just a huge lump of people fighting forward.

6 hour wait, Started off halfway down the queue, ended up at the back because people were pushing in at the sides more and more.

I won't be going next year unless i know they fixed it.

Festival crowds aren't that bad

if you got 80,000 people together anywhere else, there would be loads more trouble.

Good to hear

Roughtrade sacked the twat commiting all the felons he did.

No other employers would tolerate it. Why should labels.

I've never liked what i've heard

of them on the radio or record.

But live they were absolutely amazing!!! really fantastic and they were an essential part to break up the day.

Pity more people watched the Ravingly shite klaxons because it was cool to.

Metric were excellent too, some of the strongest songs of the festival.

Idea

Maybe a crime amnesty is the way forward, everybody should list the crimes they saw or maybe commited with no retribution, so the police can see just how much goes on and just whats needed.

1000's of crimes are commited even before the festival starts with the touting that goes on.

If they really wanted to...

Beat some festival crime, the police should pull over the 1000s upon 1000s of drunk drivers leaving the festival.

Instead of helping them on their way.

can't you leave valuables

in the left luggage section each night?

Or attach the case to your person or sleeping bag?

I found a phone on the floor on the first night and handed it in and the guy who lost it got it back, which was nice.

No more Norwich

He used to love us so much.

Watch the advert on the left and go "hey yo yo yo yo yo"

This album is the bees knees

And its a grower, give it time.

Paris 2004 is like the best pop song ever.

Lord

I decided not to do a show at NAC, looks like the NAC did!

I can't remember

The last time i used a magazine for new bands, its online all the way or demo based for me.

I use magazines for exactly what usa_nails has said below me.

Or for seeing who's touring using which agent and label etc from the adverts.

I bought my first

Plan B a couple of weeks ago, it lived in my bag for a couple of weeks because it was one of the only magazines i've ever found where i can discover something interesting to read on any page. So i can pull it out of my bag for 10 mins here and there and read something good.

!!!!

now that was a song,

Also.

His name is Bobby (ooh ooh) Bobby De Niro (ahh ahh)

I had a wee listen to

Andrew Bird, I cannot see any reason to compare other than the situation both artists play in.

Pretty good though i might try to pick up Andrew Birds stuff up.

He poos Clouds is incredible, better than the first one over time its got so much more depth and intelligence. The first one is still amazing though don't get me wrong.

Colin

Said in an interview they will still be releasing on rough trade in the UK.

No Worrys.

This Man

Is a legend.

Has a good home was my album of 2005. Looks like he's gonna get '06 too.

Can't wait to see him in may.

Nice

Now if i could only find somewhere to fucking buy it.
