YESSSSSS
SSSSS...SSSS..SSSS!
HahahahaHAHAHAHA...
John, you're fired.
Ha ha...
Sure.
'oblique or otherwise'
...hence this. Perhaps 'abstract' would have served better. I dunno. Verbiage spew.
FYI: I actually rephrased what was originally written here, slightly, knowing full well the Less Than Zero connection; I'm not sure it was clear previously. I wanted readers to at least get the suggestion that Kele probably doesn't eat foie gras, with or without complete disdain, etc. Although it seems I've failed.
Original wording, pre-subbing (wow, an insight into DiS's internal mechanics!):
"But at least there are no clangers about feeling disgusted with yourself for eating pate de fois gras in a posh London restaurant."
Nick, hope you don't mind me pasting that in there.
Ta,
M
In four days
I have played it in full six times.
Plenty enough for a review.
Judging by what Nick has written here I'd say he's given it a similar amount of time.
FYI: many music reviewers (albums) get 48-72 hours to turn an album review around. So four days = probably above average.
but it's at the old blue last
:) :) :)

She offered me some minging vodka drink.

and I thought it was amazing...
...that they were not higher on the bill in 2000... third from top, right? Below Slipknot and... someone else?
amazing
scenes... I was somewhere in the middle of that.
'more accurate'?
The mere notion of expressed subjectivity must bring you out in a rash.
How big is 'that'?
You might need a bigger flannel.
4AD vs Kranky
This image is used on the 4AD promo art - remember their art for Atlas Sound's album was different to the Kranky release, too.
the album
is good.
I did apologise.
"(Alexei in pool pictured... sorry Alexei - Ed)"

Well, that's the last time I link to NME.com.
- is next to 0
and I am a busy man.
that's right
...tickets are available via it from Monday August 18. Unless I get another link in which case I'll activate that, too.
Nothing like a spot of negativity...
...to get the ball rolling, eh?
Did anyone get out of the right side of their bed this morning?
I'd love
Thought Forms and Calories to play a DiScover show together... suppose I'd best ask.
I love Lovvers, sincerely
They continue to amaze and entertain me live, and their recorded output is the best 'pop-rock' around - i.e. it rocks wildly and pops like the best bubblegum.
TOTAL WIN
Everyone else: give up.
Here, have four copies.
two words:
fuck off.
If you download this album for free I will find you.
I like its 'lack of punch'
weirdly.
you wouldn't want let's get killed pt II.
would you?
is he?
apologies.
PR sounded like he was playing live, although previous Green Man listings suggested DJing.
Whatever: he will be on site. Say hello.
it's quite good
yes yes
it might
voting doesn't close for almost a month.
the new LP
is really good, I think. It's really shoegaze in places.
Missed it so can't personally comment....
...but I know one dude who thought it was the best weekend of his life.
The Mars Volta ATP
Is probably my favourite ATP ever, although the Dirty Three one runs it close.
. . .
"Whoever said that the most popular/hyped album has the best chance of winning is right"
I can't tell you who is currently leading the pack, but I can say that you might be surprised. Hype, it seems, may not extend to voting patterns.
He certainly doesn't when he's NOT in that photo.
But there...?
first time IN LONDON?
Do you remember your first time?
How do you eat yours?
I still don't know. Not for sure.
Press release for the single says two.
trudis
my word: bronze.
Infinity Milk
Yep, was aired.
My attempt to shake your hand on the stairs: literally the most bodged attempt at a handshake ever.
