*swoon*

..

heard this in the car t'other day

...with a friend - we were arguing, quite intensely, about whether or not it was Fallout Boy or McFly. (I: FOB / he: Mcfly) until it stopped..

"And that was the latest single to be taken from Panic at the Disco's album..."

WTF???

and..

twas on telly t'other day too. Not a bad actor really.

Celestial

Now THAT's an album I'd like to see played in full!

Isn't Geoffrey

..a London cabbie??

indeed

I believe there were around 50 deloreans used in the back to the future films, one of which I've physically touched with my own hands at the Keswick Motor Museum! OMG!

I cannot wait

...to see the Swarm! If their live show is anywhere near as choatic as their CD I'm definately taking a crash helmet!

Just entered

the national singles chart at Number 27!

quote

"aiden, hawthorne heights - those cds should come with a handgun. Anyone who buys those cds should shoot themselves for purchasing it."

Hear hear.

Fantomas vs Melvins

Roll on May 1st!

good band

stil have a demo of theirs somewhere.

I want a Led Zeppelin air freshener!

Mr grinning chimpanzee one has lost almost all its minty fragrance.

sophie loren

"DiS secretly wishes for an Intense Dudes reformation"

Mat openly hopes for a Red in Sophie Loren reformation!

An early April Fool joke??

I actually, mentally checked the date to see whether this was an early april fools joke!

Alas not. Surely Bullet aren't even worthy enough to play the festival AT ALL.

Give it a name?

I'll give it a name. 'Shit'.

Apart from Taint.

And why so many US bands - it's in fucking england isn't it! Johnny Phillips you disappoint me.

I agree

'K' is ace. In fact, I'm gonna go listen to it now - on cassette! Proper OLD SKOOL, like.

Apparently..

...I was there too. I have however no memory of this.

Not sure about that

..being owned by Universal. Can't really be arsed to check, but I do know that The Roadrunner Group, to give them their corporate title, do own several highly commercial pop labels in Europe. Music Week reported their turnover a couple of years ago to be around $152m.

Read into that what you will, but they are going to expand their European metal roster considerably over the next few years.

early Roadrunner

To me, Roadrunner was at it's zenith in the early to mid 90s - all the old thrash stuff like Suffocation, EARLY Sepultura as well as the classic Fear Factory and Machine Head releases right through to Madball, Vision of Disorder, Biohazard, Earth Crisis, Life of Agony and even Junkie XL...

Once a truly innovative label, now vast becoming the BMG of metal?

Re: Busted for good: ex-member Bourne gets bitchy

The guitarist is on My Space too - http://www.myspace.com/thescamp

Don't Fall Out, Boys - Killers dig their detractors

I actually got sent the Fallout Boy album before last to review, but decided against even granting them a profile on DiS in the hope they'd just go away.

Busted for good: ex-member Bourne gets bitchy

Radio 1 debuted a track of theirs a few weeks ago. Sounds like Wheatus raping Blink 182. Horrible horrible horrible stuff.

Derby's Victoria Inn threatened with closure

It is an excellent little venue with a lot of character - I especially have some excellent memories in that place - the '98 Derby Punx Picnic being one.

Dr drakes earlier this year - then CBGBs - now the Vic Inn - what next..?

Millencolin play gigs for handbags

what an odd line-up. Worth going to see Randy tho..

Steve Lamacq - "Punk, really, changed my life"

I saw him drinking what appeared to be a Barcadi Breezer once before OkGo in Camden - a far cry from the cider you speak of.

CBGB to Nevada?

Maybe in Vegas he won't have to pay £10,000 a MONTH rent!

Re: Maiden's egging - the backstage story

They brought it out on stage during 'The Trooper' (as they ALWAYS do), hence Sharon 'the bitch' Osbourne's comments on him insulting the American troops in Iraq by flying a British flag on American soil.

BARMY!

Plus the guy waving it had written on his back 'don't mess with Ozzy' even though ozzy, Sharon and Black Sabbath are all English!

Maiden's egging - the backstage story

There's a statement from their manager Rod Smallwood at www.ironmaidon.com.

Whether Bruce Dickinson had been bad-mouthing Ozzy behind his back throughout the tour (all quite legitmate comments to be fair), surely the most professional thing would be to approach Bruce personally and sort it out face to face - not sabotage their performance throwing eggs like a bunch of kids at a school concert! Especially when you consider some 40,000 people had paid up to £150 dollars each to see Maidon (many would've seen Sabbath / Ozzy at plenty of ozzfests over the years).

She deserves everything they gets.

Oh - and if you wanna hear what happened onstage - here's MP3s of Sharon and Bruce in an MP3 file: http://rapidshare.de/files/4232855/Ozzfest.zip.html
