Just listened to some MySpace stuff
I just listened to Green Knight, does anyone else get a vibe of the last minute or so of Clark's "Outside Plume"? It's just that piano track is so similar. Good song though.
In regard to Cut Copy's record:
The title of that album just describes the whole thing. The way the synths are so gassy, airy and eerie just sell the album to be on that basis alone. It doesn't help that the record kicks raw ass.
Top of my list is Deerhunter's Microcastle, no questions. This record is fucking fantastic though, I love it more than the Klaxons release. Way more, at that.
I agree.
Do they call you the sun the sea?
Oh dear...
Shitgaze.... (Sigh)
I find it interesting
that Bradford seems to not like Cryptograms anymore (at least that's the vibe I'm getting). The same thing happened with their first record, which leads me to believe that he's a bit of a perfectionist, which fits I guess.
He is quite the talker though, haha. Great interview though.
Unfortunately,
the record doesn't boast too many tracks to sway him from his dislike or remix records. With only 4 good tracks and only 2 of those demanding repeats, you can't expect much.
Bloc Party's Silent Alarm Revisited is a solid remix album. I'd recommend it to people who may dislike those kind of records but are willing to give them a chance.

Favourite record of the year
Here's how it goes: hear the album, instant #1. Failure was almost enough, than Close Chorus comes out, and then it keeps rolling strong. Passionate Introverts is possibly the sweetest song in a long time.
Definitely not a 10/10, but it's a goodenough/10 for me.
