Good call on Royksopp.
How that song didn't go mainstream I find quite strange.
Beginning to love it.
It has the quirky, albeit more mature lyricism of Soviet Kitche, with the production values of Begin to Hope. There's some stunning tracks on there. Gets better each time I listen. Think she's finding her feet with a major.
a) Yes.
Pleasethankyou.
Is it
a) Saint Dymphna
?
Yeah, I was pretty pissed there's no Deerhoof.
Offend Maggie does take a little getting used to.
No Order.
1. Elbow - The Loneliness Of A Tower Crane Driver
2. Deerhoof - My Purple Past
3. Portishead - The Rip
4. Glasvegas - Ice Cream Van
5. Why? - The Hollows
6. Laura Marling - Tap at my Window
7. Animal Collective - Water Curses
8. Keelay - Love makes livin' alright
Myra Lee is one of my favourite records.
On par with PJ Harvey's Dry. I'm really disappointed with most of Cat Power's other stuff.
Cool pictures.
Jarvis has wicked style.
Indeed.
Can't wait.
Hmm, nice.
I liked the, "If you are standing towards the back of Dingwalls at this very moment, and not in the very middle of this energetic rabble, this is the moment when you feel as though you've never truly experienced the vigour of life." It was certainly one of the most raucous gigs I've been to. Shambolic, breakneck and brilliant.
Gonna wait until there's another album I think.
In a sitty down place.
I went to the Notts gig.
She's obviously scared of the gun crime.
"Know what I mean?"
Does that mean drugs?
How is it ripping of WISMM?
She uses one line and doesn't even say it the same way.
"Are you Maggie? Yes? Sod you"
I chortled.
Some dodgy millionaire
will probably wind up with Kurt's ashes. How macabre.
I listened to it.
Grudgingly. Utter shit. Does he actually sing, "I'm singing this song/for you and your mum and the dog"?
I really
fancy Heather Trost. Something about female violinists. Dans Le Sac though, utter shit.
You just
want the same old Portishead right? I have to admit I wasn't immediately taken by this album, and I much as I hate using the word, it's a grower.
I hate
Zane with every ounce of my being.
Looked awesome.
Wish she played Nottingham.
She's great...
when sober. I think she played a fair amount of her previous shows off her mash.
They are.
But I too did a lot of acid!
Hoof
without Satomi? Er.
Love this band.
I really hope they are wanting Garry Bushell in a bubble.
LCD Soundsystem
I personally think is the most piss poor half assed techno bollox I've ever heard. I think it's mainly Dad's that are buying up this crap and thinking, wow, this is amazing. It's utter tosh.
I wish
she'd turned up in Nottingham. Was gutted.
I see Pennate
coming onstage in Ziggy Stardust-esque attire, launching into dramatically esoteric keyboard solo's. Then maybe I'd grace him with an ounce of musical integrity. Actually no. How long can you rip off the Jam?
So hopefully
Deerhoof's Friend Opportunity will be in the top 5.

I concur.
There's maybe 3 good tracks on the album. I just found the rest too languid. Headache is bollocks.
