Aside from interesting style and dramatic flourish, there's no substance there at all.

Morrissey plays a few Smiths songs at his gigs usually, and that's enough. A tense, cynical run through of the hits by people who's chemistry is long gone would detract from their legacy if anything.

Melodrama with no gravitas becomes histronic.

They have their moments, but they aren't important at all, never mind the most important band of a generation. That's clearly Radiohead you're thinking of.
