Also, we're all DJing the top room at Club NME @ Koko on the 16th.
There are some obvious problems though.
It's gone from having about 50 links to new reviews, chronologically ordered, to having 15, the content window is only about half of the width, and very narrow. The new font is too small to read comfortably, and the names thing on the boards is weird, links on the boards now look like normal text instead of bold, and the colours are pastelly like a baby-gro or hospital colour scheme.
Crass, it seems, were punk through and through, but abandoned the movement when they decided it had become commercialised.
It's a wonderful, brave skip hopscotch through musical decades, and the best thing he's done so far. Either an 8 or a 9...
<3 this band
tells me Pagan Wanderer Lu will be on here.
They don't do histrionic blow outs, but the way the build and release is awesome.
But have they announced their support bands for Leeds?
She's right. They were awful and yawnsome.
Glad he's got something out finally.
Miklos'll love that.
I don't like this guy though.
That is all.
wrng wrong wrong wrong wrong
it's a ten
a solid gold masterpiece.
As seen on the new Brainlove 7"...
Seems like she was rolled out on rails in Lily's wake.
Jack White is a right grouchy old tosser. He makes up his own mythology and then gets angry when people believe it. Twat.
OHHHH MYYYY GOODDDDDDD can you BELIEVE that NOT EVERYONE has heard of EVERY BAND EVER? HOLY CRAPFIRE!
nobody did that, dude.
But no way was Show Your Bones overrated, it's a disappointing piece of shit with maybe 3 memorable songs on it.
It's part of who they are.
I think bands have a visual element.
Of course they do.
It's all part of what they are.
Just because you say someone is black and not many black guys make indie music... doesn't mean shit! That's just a pretty true observation. I don't know why anyone would get 'extra points' for being black though.
Is that racialist?
I just want to reeeeeead
Klaxons or Arctic Monkeys for their subcultural cache, with Bat For Lashes as the 'quality' choice (even though I don't really rate her) and Jamie T as the outsider people's champion type contender (a la Dizzee when he won).
How many bands have DiSsers in them I wonder.
I like drinking the quite-cheap wine in the sticky, empty cabaret bar and watching the sun go down and the lights blink on along the coast. Yup.
I love Dev. And this single. Review to come.
