I remember that Yeasayer TV thing.
It's so much better than they actually are live.
Bloc Party don't deserve to be in the same headline as Radiohead. Ever.
No matter what they "do".
How about "DiSers Sick Of Bloc Party News Stories". Now that's news.
It's funny.
It's got a glam/pomp-rock thing going on that makes it better than the bands that came before. It has a bit of ambition. Whether it works or not... some of it's a bit bloated. But that comes with the territory. A very DiS band though.
Ratface.
This guy is AMAZING. See him live. I never saw such commitment and energy and Troof.

Ummmm HELLO?
Holy Ghost Revival??
http://www.myspace.com/holyghostrevival
Their best album was their first.
The Rat saw them beating the crap out of all the delicious subtlety that made them good.
Apart from the Topshop indie masses.
So all the important people, yeah.

Atlas Sound is good.
But.
Y'know.
Who are these lists for, David Cameron's PR people?
...

15 seconds in and no Uffie porn.
Borednowthanxbye.
I'm gonna bite my lip here.
Coz I know your heart's in the right place on this one.
An honorable sentiment.
And one I do try to maintain myself for quite a while, writing for both DiS and Artrocker, amongst others...
... but Mike, really. You've never said a bad word about other publications? Maybe not in print, m'dear, but your claws are just as sharp.
Music has always been tribal, and it always will be. The bitching is never gonna stop.
Napoleon IIIrd has grown a moustache!
Noted with some admiration and amusement.
And thanks for the compliment.
Vampire Weekend may well be a good band, but they seemed so ill-prepared, charmless and out of their depth in the refined company of the rest of the lineup. They basically failed miserably to convert me or, from the chat around the campfire, anyone else to their cause, even though I turned up ready to be convinced..
There were tunes inside their arrogance trying to get out.
They failed...
Harm of Will no.1 ?
You big softie Mike Diver. You wanna take a leaf out of Master Doran's book and do some manly fighting and stuff, y'getme?

Yeah Emily vICKy Line Goes There
Stop being a bozo.
Holy shit, look where Team Brick is on the bill.
Good job DiS was hot on the trail with the most in-depth interview yet published about this Hott New Talent!
There used to be a live picture on his frYars page
and I remember him doing some low key solo stuff.
They were amazing at End Of The Road.
I Am In Love.
He's played before.
But, cool.
Napoleon IIIrd, dweebs!
Then Jeffrey Lewis.
Then Devendra Banhart.
MYTH TAKES??????????????????
PWL?
PWL.
PWL is playing!
And Winston Wcho.
Yes, but:
Just because there's a lot of pavement in the world, doesn't mean it's worth writing about. Same goes for lame arse pop music.
God I fucking hate this girl.
She mentions herself alongside the Beatles and Bjork? She's an artistically flatlining flash in the plan pop muppet! What a fucking idiot.
^
I can see why tabloidy coverage might seem like a good idea to broaden the audience of the site, but it's just really not interesting.
Totally not.
I wouldn't touch her with yours.
She'd probably do that voice that I find annoyin' - i.e. everything she says or sings.

I think the Iraq War was actually influenced by Kate Nash
Because she's so fucking brain splittingly aweful in every possible way that she brings out the human genocidal impulse.
