I'd agree with 6/10 actually

A couple of really good tracks but most of it just floats by without doing much. Nowhere near as good as American Hearts.

Nah, I'm John Mortimer

John Roberts is Brainlove's 'real' name but I think this is a different guy.

Also: Grouper - Dragging a Dead *Dear* Uphill? I need to improve my proof reading.

I don't like the full stop

after 'Block Party' on the album cover.

Wow

I didn't think you could do anything to make me dislike you any more but I was wrong you Snow-Patrol-with-feedback loving freak ;)

you'll be lucky

I've been looking for that clip for ages, so far nothing. Let me know if you find anything.

and it was released in 93 not 94

Bakesale was 94

I think so

he did produce both audioslave albums.

This could change of course

I'm leaving voting open till early Jan.

I totalled up the votes last night

It's really close between the top 3 but at the moment In Rainbows is #1.

Thanks

(I think)

I've just voted

but I'm still going to do my traditional end of year poll on the music forum where I let people vote for whatever they want. Non of this restricted selection malarkey.

Just bought my ticket too

Gutted when I missed him earlier this year. Any idea what sort of set he plays in these solo shows? Just new stuff or Magnolia/Songs:Ohia mix?

Oh well

I was hoping against hope it was people will be people when they hear this sandwich. Time to change my profile.

0 tickets available

So says the we got tickets website. has this really sold out already?

Received my copy this morning

I was surprised (and pleased) when I opened it up to find a bonus disc containing remixes by Justin Broderick and Kieran Hebdan amoungst others. Am I 'special' or did everybody else's copy contain this?

I......am there

The Luminaire that is. I've seen the 'jetson at the cellar before actually. That place is tiny.

Excellent

And blaming the rhythm section - good policy. I've had to wait over six months for CDs to arrive from 101cd before so a couple of weeks won't kill me.

Just sent you an email about that

I ordered my copy about two weeks ago and haven't received it yet.

Re: Redjetson 'Stay Comfortable' Free MP3 Download

Exactly, it should be "Once I killer a man, seriously".

Re: Redjetson 'Stay Comfortable' Free MP3 Download

I wouldn't call New General Catalogue background music either. The opposite in fact, it demands my attention as much as any record I've bought this year. But hey, that's personal preference I suppose.

Re: Redjetson 'Stay Comfortable' Free MP3 Download

I wish I was in a band that sucked as much as Redjetson.

Re: Yes it's f*cking political: Ian Brown electioneers

I think it's "everyone should spoil their ballot papers so nobody wins the election. That'll learn 'em."

Re: Chart raider, space invader: Star Wars to chal

I prefered the song that got played over the end credits:

"Gandhara, Gandhara, they say it was in India..." etc.

Re: More names for Leeds/Reading

In fact, all the headliners have been missed off, Pixies, Foos, Iron Maiden.

Re: More names for Leeds/Reading

*one album.

Re: More names for Leeds/Reading

Nah, that's a misprint/typo, Pixies are headlining friday at Reading. Killers are still too high on the bill for a band with only on album though, in my opinion.

Re: Freak Scene re-release? Just can't believe us? Well it's true...

Nah, I was just quoting Mr Gay4 quoting Lou Barlow. Pixies are one of my all time faves.

Re: Freak Scene re-release? Just can't believe us? Well it's true...

What, when Flame got in the charts somehow? Yeah, it was fantastic. Lou (resplendent in a lilac jumper) deciding to scream his way through the final minute or so and scaring all the pop kids.

Re: Sunshi-iii-ine, let's chat on li-iii-ine... Oasis do live webcast

Yep, I remember seeing the address for the Radiohead website in The Bends inner sleeve. That was the first time I can recall seeing a web address on an album.

Re: Freak Scene re-release? Just can't believe us? Well it's true...

And let's not forget the pixies were just a poor man's throwing muses.

I know very little about Dino Jr, except Lou Barlow used to be the bass player. Did he play on Freak Scene?

Reading tickets onsale now

"this year tickets are onsale at a whopping £125 plus booking fee, plus postage, etc etc etc."

Hmmm, bought mine about a month ago from Stargreen, 128 quid 'all in'.

One Longer: 65days tour goes 'Hole' hog

Anybody else think Hole isn't the best choice of single? It's probably my least favorite track on the album.

Anyway, I'm currently working out the logistics of getting to Southampton and back on a Sunday night so I can see them AND Redjetson.

Redjetson debut LP out NOW on Drowned in Sound Recordings

Anyone read the Audiojunkies review?

It's different

Re: Redjetson debut LP out NOW on Drowned in Sound Recordings

Oh yes, I see your point Sean. Might as well get band members to review their own records. Or you could review it and slag it off just to prove you are 'keeping it real'.

Re: Redjetson debut LP out NOW on Drowned in Sound Recordings

Also, DiS, where's the review? Pull your finger out, they are on your own record label.

Re: Redjetson debut LP out NOW on Drowned in Sound Recordings

I'm going to order mine online. Play.com are selling it for £9.99 (although it does say currently not available when you look at it. Hmmmm).
