I disagree

The Verve's A Northern Soul was the best album of '95, by some immeasurable margin.
F.E.E.L.I.N.G.C.A.L.L.E.D.L.O.V.E. and I Spy(brilliant lyrics) are the best songs on the album. Listened to it again fairly recently and they're the only ones that don't sound dated.
Love the line in Mile End,"The first floor landing smells of fish, and not just on a Friday", genius.

Perfect music festival

Glastonbury, I don't think anything could make it better now the big fence has largely eliminated the scallies and given everyone a bit more room. Some bands clash, so what, there's alot more to a proper festival, as Glastonbury is, than bands. Most of the fun is hanging out with mates miles, literally and metaphorically, form the day to day tedium of work.
Reading was much more fun until they started selling day tickets and increased the capacity from 45 to 60 thousand without making the arena bigger!

.

I <3 Sennen. I prefer the b-side. That is all.

the Verve rule!

Have you listened to A Northern Soul? My favourite album ever. They were a brilliant band before his ego took over. I'm with you on the Urban hymns bit though.
This is quite a worrying story though, at least he appears to be back on the class 'A's which means he might start recording something half decent again.

meh

I saw them supporting Sennen at the Water Rats on Friday and was majorly underwhelmed. Very average, the other support lo-ego were much better.

They Rule

The Coopers are my favourite band since the Verve. I first saw them at the 100 Club in summer of 2001 at the ripe old age of 25. I was blown away by their enthusiasm, inventivness and awesome tunes. I've seen them 14 times since and will be seing them twice on this tour. Long live the Cooper Temple Clause!

Solo wank

A Northern Soul is a work of utter genius.
I was thinking about him saying they would never reform. It's because he knows everyone(well the real fans not the oasis fans who bought urban hymns) would be there to hear McCabe not him and his huge ego can't handle it.

.

Great review, I could not have put it better myself. People who make, sign, promote this shite should be shot!

.

This is the most joyous song I have heard for years. It just gives me the biggest grin and makes me feel all warm inside. Anyone who fails to appreciate this song might as well rid themselves of this world now as there is obviously no hope for your bitter and twisted lonely old soul!

New Site-ish

Blah blah blah, great new site etc.
More importantly where is the Sennen album review?!

The Cooper Temple Clause

I went to the Norwich gig on the Thursday and they ruled. We need a band like them to kick everyone else up the arse and show what is possible with a little imagination.

An acoustic set? Not something I ever thought they'd go in for, worth popping into town for though. Can't wait for the album.

Where's me fanbase? Sultans Of Ping return!

"And my brother will be so so angry"
He's moving to the States and will gutted not to be able to see the legendary Sultans reform, I feel 17 again.
Funnily enough I was searching google last night for an mp3 of Where's My Jumper after catching my self singing it for no apparent reason.

Re: The Boxer Rebellion headline clubHEDONISTIC this Friday

You'll be glad to know I got in fine and the Boxers ruled!

The Boxer Rebellion headline clubHEDONISTIC this Friday

Don't bloody tell everyone! If I get there having driven all the way from Norwich and it's full there'll be trouble!
