These will be announced in 2 weeks, I've just been told
And plural. So more than one.
I don't think it's so much that as the general acceptance...
...and willingness to be classified as something they are not.
Yeah. As The Guardian article says.
But I didn't want to put that in because it'd look bad.
Haha!
Errr, yeah. Guess who was originally where My Vitriol are...
No, not even with CAPS?
Oh, OK then.
It wasn't serious.
It's actually called...
..."COME ON NOW FEEL THE ILLINOISE".
Nice one.
Actually got this in the post a couple of years ago. Liked it then. Appears to have disappeared off my hard drive but the sketches which came with the album are still on my wall.
Surely people aren't going to assume it's her as she's actually IN the video?!
At one point next to the other girl!
Good question.
Just check the press release to make sure I hadn't made a type and it's definitely the 6th for London in that.
Yeah.
LAs vegas. Right.
Well spotted.
Apologies, heat induced mid-afternoon daze.
CORRECT.
Really should do my maths. E-mail I got did actually say "4th" but trusting their bad maths is no excuse.
OK
Thanks for your input.
Good point.
Well made.
AH GOOD. Press release said different.
I always used to exclude O2 in writing the tour dates but gave that up a while ago...
I DID.
Hard to believe, I know.
ALSO...
...ummm, when did I join Hot Chip? I don't remember that photo being taken...
E-mail went round from their PR this morning...
...unfortunately.
Well, it doesn't say so on their MySpace...
..but just that it's part of the Camden Crawl. So it probably technically isn't, but effectively is.
50 quid a year...
...is the normal meaning. I think.
I think it comes to the business of quantifying music with scores out of 10.
I don't think the review itself is overly harsh and there are a few compliments thrown around, so...
WELL.
The single is out today in the UK. And the record is being released here on May 10. Yes, it's been out elsewhere earlier. And the Dinosaur Jr. stuff, well, I've been over that.
Huh? Not really...not taking 'a dig' whatsoever. Just saying that I thought it was strange.
I acknowledge as much in the opening paragraph! And hence putting 'announce' in inverted commas.
"Apparently this has been floating around for a little while now - though it's the first I've heard of it. Anyway, we thought you'd like to know."
"Built To Spill appear to be the co-headliners."
First thing I did when I saw this was to search around to see any old news from this and could find little more than Jamie posting on various forums about the dates. Just thought the tour had been fairly poorly publicised so not everyone who is interested would know, like I say.
Yeah!
What happened with this announcement? Only got an e-mail this afternoon about it, but the information's been around (though I've not seen it on many news sites) for a week or so now, as I saw you posted on a couple of forums about it?
Because it would probably be quite rubbish.
Not in any overall, over-arching concept of worthiness. I'd probably rather see it than plenty of other films, but y'know, I'd rather it not be made at all.
That'll be why then...
...fixed.
Oops, no.
Got my lists confused.
Good question.
I must've hit the whisky hard before this post, given the misplaced apostrophe.
Yeah, though I think I've found that with all of the TRR I've investigated in the past month or so...
...though I've not heard the Amateur View, so will have to give that a spin.
I think, nearly five years later, this is unlikely.
Not to mention totally pointless.
Reading the e-mail and associated information.
I am 100 per cent certain that isn't the case.
it HAS actually grown on me, but I'm not sure if that's...
...due to associating it with the video...
I read this already when it was in the queue...
...but I'll comment on it now. Totally agree. Can't believe how much I changed my mind on this record so quickly. Maybe Devil's Spoke isn't the greatest track on the record, but the rest is just standout evidence of her progression in every area, songcraft and all. Thankfully she manages to avoid all the trappings (almost) of what we see and hear in Mumford and Sons.
Good review.
Hmmmm good point...
...no idea why the dates are so out of whack on BSP/Rough Trade's website.
